the Triton give extra about 5-6 hp . but I think you should test drive both, different people will have different liking to power kick, drivability, handling, braking.......................looks.......so on.

towing capability - Navara smile_thumbup.gif
consumption - Triton smile_thumbup.gif
triton lighter - suppose to have better pick-up
triton newer

but, is the latest engine proven?

test it out bro.

I`ve tested the Navara but not the new Triton since it havent reach our shore yet.. too me, driving the Navara doesnt feel like driving a truck. smooth, but too bad cant try the handling part... Just dont know whether to wait for Triton or just go with Navara

For me, reliability is a major consideration. The previous Mitsubishi Pajero 2.8 diesel have bad reputation in reliability and very expensive to repair. Not sure about the Triton engines.
I prefers to use my head than follow the crowd. After all, it is my money and not theirs.

My family used to have that 2.8 Pajero.. for what I can remember, that car served us well..only the gearbox and starter problem.. for 8 years without major problem...

If you plan a long trip that carry people on the back seat, Navara fail big time, Triton is much better in this area.
That's why I book a 3.0hilux. cos it has a bigger cabin, but my saleman has been delaying my delivery date is making me pissed off, so was planning to cancel my booking.

Anyone got any idea when is the 178ps triton will be in M'sia? hope is the shorter bed, cos the current one is way too long and look out of proportion or was it just me.

thanks

Most of my time, I will driving alone.. at 1st I wanted the Hilux 3.0 eventhough Navara still win in power section, but the Toyota people told me the car hard to get insurance.. I emailed Mitsubishi about the new triton, they didnt reply me.. yeah, current Triton bed quite panjang and doesnt look right.. unless the rear tire abit near the bumper, maybe it will look just fine..
Nissan just called me that they got stock for the white Navara, now I just wait for my dad to make up his decision... and still got time to change mine.. biggrin.gif
