Bro. Along, I think is in Jeddah.......... I dont think there will problem wif his camry as car manufacturer will tune the ECU to make the engine accept the fuel grade that is available at a particular country. Finally i got the chance to test Bhp RON95 as i've been reading positive feedback from user. I must say its a tiny2 bit smoother. Can be neglected actually as only the sensitive will notice. FC, i dont make calculation but from the trip meter its the same with my current Caltex RON95. I will stick with Caltex then as the station is closer to home and i only need 4 more sticker to claim a free gift. -------------------- ![]() ![]() ![]() |

So far my Camry has been behaving nicely with BHP RON 95. Previously I had used Shell Ron 95 and Petronas RON 95. Petronas and Shell RON 95 suck big time With BHP RON 95, I am getting the near-equivalent of the previous [speed and torque] performance using Petronas RON 97, but BHP RON 95 surprisingly is giving my Camry more mileage [better FC] As for me now, it is a NO-NO for BTW, many BHP petrol stations are in run-down conditions [as compared to Petronas and Shell stations] and severly lack of other facilities and amenities [like Touch & Go uploading, F & B, ATM.....] I pump petronas 95 before, its dam lag of power.... I have not tested the "new" shell formula, but base on pass experience shell 97 feel like ron 95 of other brand Now we will now if the Shell is really "FuelSave" from the experience of Master Sifu Bro Halem & littlevil, The fuel save Shell for my car is crap. Because I have tested RON 95 before and it does not run well on my car, I have opt for RON 97. Now pump in Shell New RON 97, and it is slightly better than the RON 95 that were tested. Bro. Halem statement is true to the fact, "Shell RON 97 feels like RON 95 of other brand". When I accelerate, my turbo light charges up but the fuel is not burning. Seems like drowning my plugs type of sound and very difficult to push it pass 5k RPM. Maybe tomorrow if got time will drain it out and put into my wife's car as her car can run even RON 92..... Got to go back to my ESSO RON 97. My car got oomph and station is nearby and got smiles point..... |

latest update:
caltex ron95-power ok,smooth acceleration, high rpm/high speed driving sound quieter alot, better then ron97 caltex ron97-feels pickup nt so good...but quieter, feels underpowered esso ron95-power ok, the pickup seems not as good as caltex ron95... but slightly noiser than caltex ron95 bhp ron95x2-power ok, acceleration ok, slightly quieter than esso bhp ron97x2-power ok,acceleration ok, basically around the same as ron95 or maybe no difference... shell ron95 fuel saver (refuel rm35 coz urgent due to jam at pj and warning light)...with balance of 10liters caltex ron95-feel engine noisy and harsher....then try to floor down the pedal, the engine roars but picking up quite slow. and for shell ron 95....my friend that drives new city said that its lagging in power and when floor down seem no power.....and i recommend him to try caltex ron95/bhp ron95/esso ron95...but he tried bhp ron 95 full tank...he was amazed with the feedback frm the fuel and engine the moment he starts his car.. as for me i will use caltex since it claimed that able to clean our engines and maintain a cleanner engine... |

Seems like many negative feedback on Shell. I no comment because I've never tried Shell RON95 before.
I've tried BHP RON95 and Esso Synergy 5000. Both also works well with my 1.3 Campro. -------------------- Cemerlang Gemilang Terbilang dan Terus Hilang |

Halem, Dare not try already. Yesterday spend half a day draining out the Shell fuel and put it into my wife's car. Just now went and pump in my usual Esso RON 97. Never expected Shell's New RON 97 perform like Esso Ron 95 Maybe if try BHP next time, I will put in RM20 only.....ha! ha! Shell I went and put full tank (normal for me to fill full, so I can calculated the mileage) |

Been using Esso RON97 for ages. Loved it. I gives my Kelisa 19 to 20km/l. Now since RON95, I have my doubts. Been using RON95 since it came out, initially I felt no difference in power and millage. But after sometime, I began to feel like my millage is getting worse... not much different in power though. So I start to make some records, and I am shock! This is my results below, taken last week. This weekend I'll update again. Test 1 425km - 24.47L 17.37km/l Test 2 271.6km - 16.03L 16.94km/l After 3 more test I'll switch to Shell RON95 and see what happened. Finally I'll switch back to Esso RON97 and see if I am able to achieve back the good old 20km/l. Test methods : Always the same station and pump. Always the same time, 8pm - 11pm. Driving condition may vary, but not by much. Traveling distance, destination and time are always the same. 5 scores will be taken, the highest and lowest score discarded and the remaining 3 scores are averaged. When switching fuel type/brand, no scores will be taken for the initial first full tank. Latest update Test 3 380.3km - 22.5L 16.9km/l 2 more fill up, and if the score keeps going down I might abandon Esso/Mobil RON 95 for good!! Positive energy my a$$!!! My next test would be BHP RON95 and Shell RON95. Judging from my past experience, Shell have the worst petrol in the market. Their petrol has no power, caused rough sounding engine and have the worst absolute worst millage. So I'll test their new petrol last, after Esso and BHP. Don't have any Caltex nearby and don't like Petronas (not bad their petrol), so I'm just limited to Esso, BHP and Shell. -------------------- Once we define ourselves in terms of others, we lose the freedom to shape our own lives.
