Hi. I am new here. If there is a similar topic about this, please direct me to that thread...

Back to the topic...

I am planning to buy Bestari 206.

I have made a few 'research' on the net, and found out that there are quite a lot of negative impression on Naza Bestari 206. Some says it has the problem with the manufacturer (Naza) that has no experience in assembling the product. Others includes a negative feedback on the super-high price of the spare parts (such as RM3k for replacing a speedometer or some sort...)

Can anyone please advise me on this...

Thanks.

What care are you driving right now. When me and my wife were trying to search for our first car, we came across this bestari 206 since it fits our search criteria which includes 2 airbags, abs and good safety rating. We bought the car new back in 2006 and so far, touch wood, no major problem with it. The abs has saved my wife twice from a major accident. Since my wife will be driving the car, I want to make sure that the safety rating is good enough and you can find all the reviews online from other countries etc.

I have another car, which is Korean, and I have discovered that driving the 206 is fun and the handling is much better than my car. The car have a character or a soul underneath the hood and that's what make it fun to drive. My mom got a spare Myvi at home and although the price is cheaper, it doesnt have that soul that 206 has.

It depends what you want. For me, I just discovered that I easily get bored with one car. Too bad I took the 7 years loan with the intention of minimizing the monthly payment but now I am stuck with my car. Next car for me will be the mother of all trucker.

Hi.

I am using proton, which i bought 7 year ago, and i, sorry to say, hates proton so much now... sad.gif

This time around, I need a car that has a safety features, as you said and i see that in 206. Just want to ask the current owner of 206 if it is worth it, as i did not want previous bad experience to happen again. smile.gif

Of course, i have to spend more (a little more?), but satisfaction is more important...

Thanks

It is actually a Peugeot 206 in CKD form, it's just being rebadged to Naza.
This CKD has more original parts than those Japanese CKD. Try check out the car yourself, the windows/windscreen are original, pop up the hood and look around, you'll find many lion logo around (which cannnot be changed because it's not sticker), it's original parts. Even the battery casing/cover, you can see "PSA" wording.

The local content is probably the rims, tyres, seat? etc.

Even wiper blades are from France. Just Naza emblems are local made I guess. U can convert these ugly words to ori emblems anytime. Good car satisfied user. Good sifus here to help me clarify my shallow knowledge about this little lion.
No complains so far 10,000km in 4 months.
