Location: Gurney Plaza 6th Floor Car Park, Penang.
Time: 6:27PM
Date: 31st October 2007

My car was park in the car park of Gurney Plaza at 6th floor yesterday,
then I went for movie with my friends. I parked my car at there for around
few hour. When I reach to my car, I found that the right hand side of the
car, 2 doors all got key scratches. On that time really is nothing that I
can do. Report police? Talk to the manager? Report to the police and
police will says small matter or whatever, then need to waste my time and
energy to talk to them. Talk to the manager? I went to the security office
to talk to the manager, I said I want to see the CCTV tape, wanted to
check that person out then make a police report. What that manager
say? "You must complete the police procedure and show us the procedure,
then I only can show you the CCTV tape". Of course I must have the CCTV
tape as proof then I only can do the police report, if not I'll just waste
my time. Then took out a camera, I guess they wanted to take picture of my
car. End up I give up reporting, useless. Just I was too unlucky, it's ok
but hope this won't happen to me again.

So beware guys, park at your own risk, they don't take any responsibility
on your car. No matter where you park your car, better find a place that
got a lot people pass by. Yesterday I didn't park my car at a corner also,
somemore Gurney Plaza, a popular "branded" shopping mall in Penang, this
will happen at there too! Even got security guards check around the car
park, they can't just take good care of your car only.

Did you check whether you park in reserve place ? How about if your car is
sided to the other car ? They can't get in and scratch it ?

Just curious only. Don't angry ya. Can be a lot of possibilites. Maybe on
the way there, you make some car drivers unhappy and they follow u ?

I guess I don't know so much, but then I can very sure I park at a proper
parking place, without stepping the line also.

I really scare my car got scratch by other people, that's why I always find
a proper car park to park my car. Who knows park at this kind of car park
also can get you some free key scratches.

Hi everybody,

There's an old topic (2 years old) related to this.
Link below...

Yes, most of the victims parked at the right place, properly and with much
care for their vehicles and the surrounding area.

With this latest incident, Penang just seem to be filled with these "sickos".

Yes brother. That is the legal procedure. First get the report, then only
request for the evident. The evident you're trying to obtain is a private
property, any appropriation of the material by you would be classified as
theft. They not only have the right to not let you have it, they must not
because there is no way they can certify that you are doing this for a
legal procedure. However I do sympathize with your condition. It's just
something that happens everywhere. Happens also to my car door and not only
its a scratch, they have the time to draw patterns. Not an isolated
incident. As long as there are humans, there is a possibilities of
vandalism happening. I doubt you would be able to take action against the
culprit anyway. Do you think the CCTV is clear enough to capture the face
of the culprit and let the police trace them down? I think that is why they
call FBI to help with video enhancement for the Nurin case.

Mesti ada lobang punya....offer the car park employee/attendant RM50 and
the CCTV tape could be yours!
