I went for my first 1000km service at Seremban service centre and it was
a dissaster for me. They booked me at 11.00am, I reach there 15min early
than that and i need to waited until 1.30pm to service my car, it took
less than 1 hour to service and i pay RM86 for that.

I dun't mind to pay for that amount, it just the amount of time that i
had to wait at the service centre is ridiculous. I had waited total 3 and
half hour at the service centre.

I did complaint to the service advisor, they just told me that the
technican need to have lunch on 12pm so i have to wait for that. I ask
them again why you booked me at 11.00am, they cant give me a answer.

I am really dissapointed with the service provided by toyota service
centre.

Anybody have the same experience? Please share and please let me know
where can i do a proper complaint to toyota.

Toyota SCs are screwed up......sales of their cars are too good, they just
can't cope with number of cars coming in for service. As if this situation
is not bad enough, their SC managers are incompetant, especially the S'ban
branch. Lots of complaints about this guy.

I also sent my car there, so far so good..normally booked for 8am or
2pm..Anyway, thanx for sharing ur story..at least in future dont ever
booked any time close to lunch time...

what to do, service outside will void our warranty..any idea at what
mileage can be considered safe to do (service) outside?

Once warranty over. you can service outside lor. That's what I'm doing for
my wife's Kelisa. But even though the Altis warranty is also over, I'm
still sending it back to UMWT SC, due to more electronic systems. If
you're in the city areas, with access to bigger & better equipped outside
workshops, then by all means send it outside after warranty is over.

If not mistaken, the whole N.Sembilan state just have one service outlet
which is the one at Jalan Templer, Seremban. So u can imagine the amount
of car at that service center. Why dun UMW built one each at P.Dickson
and Nilai? Imagine how hard for them to travel to Seremban just to
servicing their car. Again UMW is no brainer.

Also lots of KL owners coming down south to S'ban SC. Heard them say that
SA advised them to book service in S'ban due to long waiting list in
KL/S'gor SCs !!
Supposed to appoint 3S dealer in NS, but still no news.

My first experience with this so called booking for appointment is with
Proton EON service. It was a horrible long wait for a simple service. EON
also have authorised workshops everywhere where it won;t void your warranty
but the mechs are not that intelligent. At least I have a avenue to go to
service the car and not have to wait.

UMW SC should do the same. Get a few outside mechs to be the authorized SC
and reduce their own load and get more satisfied customers. Of course,
they have thought of this solution but the GREED is overwhelming such that
they cannot loose money to someone else. Customer satisfaction ..who cares
as long as $$$$ comes in and customer have no choice but to come to SC for
warranty sake.

I am staying in S2 and planning to buy the new camry when it is launch
later this year. Scary to hear news on bad SC.
Yup, agreed one centre is not enough to cater, UMWT should have increase
another one or two service dealers!
