hello to GTS fellows out there,

SEVERE PROBLEM SEVERE PROBLEM SEVERE PROBLEM SEVERE PROBLEM
UN GRAVE PROBLEME UN GRAVE PROBLEME UN GRAVE PROBLEME UN GRAVE
20/11/2007:

Its been quite long i've not updated on my GTS, sebabnya takda benda yang
abnormal occur to my bike. everything good; feel happy with the bike ,
tapi kegembiraan tu tak lama bila aku perasan ada kesan minyak hitam atas
lantai tempat aku park motor aku. hati dah tak sedap, bila aku check pada
engine GTS aku; CONFIRM that the leakage came from my bike. really
frustrating when I saw that my bike with 3 months old could end up like
this.

Kesan minyak engine yang menitik atas permukaan lantai menunjukkan its not
a few drop that trickled. it formed approximately an area of 4.5 inches.

21/11/2007:
aku park motor aku lebih kurang 1 1/2, bila aku datang balik, aku tengok
minyak engine dah ada atas lantai, kali ni lebih teruk aku rasa dari
semalam. yesterday it tooks almost 8 hours to formed an area of
approximately 5 inches. but today only 1 1/2 hours to produce such area.

hari ni aku nak pergi HQ nimota kat jalan ipoh,I really would like an
explanation from nimota on this matters. hopefully i wouldnt be attended
by that foreign mechanics (bangladesh i think. bad experienced with Him
(asked him to check my bike because of loud knocking on the disc brake;
but he replied " sekarang ada ka, kalau takda, takdala" means that on that
particular time if the sound doesnt occur means theres no problem)

so, aku akan cuba upload gambar guna friendster punya website sebagai
platform utk aku tunjuk gambar2 related to the problem.

http://www.friendster.com/photos/6515360

aku akan update any information on the problem from time to time.

sorry guys, been very busy and tough week too. so the update on the GTS
oil leakage;

- Oil leakage is because of the gasket. no further explanation from
them(still wondering why it could happened).
- They changed the gasket with the new one(no charge), to be sure that it
will never happened again, they add the gasket glue.
- everything was done by the foreign mechanic.

on my observation for the past 3 days, the bike is good (no leakage). 1000
thanks to that foreign foreman for understanding the problem.

another info:

i've changed my rear brake pad. the gts brake pad is not the same to the
elegan, the GTS brake pad is much more wider; and the price, hehehehe a bit
shocking RM130 just for 1 set of rear brake pad.

i've made a quick tour to the shop, i saw that they have ready spareparts
for the GTS....how many??..no ideas..

on my personal opinion, it hink that the foreign foreman is really(quite)
competent on repairing the GTS, i think...My judgement based on what i saw
the day i pickup my bike, i saw that the foreign foreman(bangladesh i
think)do the full assembling on 1 GTS(maybe so many demand on the GTS),
quite shock huh. if he capable to assemble the whole GTS do u think that
he capable also to repair our GTS. now i'm thinking twice to send my bike
to other workshop.

the clerk said that he is the chief mechanic...emmmm.....LOL

REGRET ON THE BOSS/EXEC...HE'S IN THE OFFICE BUT DIDN'T TURN UP EVENTHOUGH
I ASKED TO. TO THE BOSS : FOR ME,YOU DIDNT SHOW A GOOD COMMITMENT TO YOUR
PRODUCT. YOUR PRODUCT IS STILL YOUNG TO MALAYSIAN MARKET. MANY PEOPLE GOT
THEIR EYES ON WHATS HAPPENING TO YOUR PRODUCT. SHOW SOME ATTITUDE.

laVitesse,

Great update man! Appreciate the effort.

Yes, I believe the Bangla is head mechanic. Funny, when I asked him about
GTS leaking oil, he say "no, no such incident - he probably confused".

Anyway, another thing I forgot to mention, in our maintenance schedule, at
3,000 km, we are suppose to Inspect and Clean the Air Filter (paper type).
The Bangla (is this slang ok? If it's offending, I'll stop using it) advise
NO NEED. He has opened a few, very clean, even after 3,000 km. So he advise
check on 6,000 km.

heheheh.may be we can stop calling him bangla..LOL..perhaps nicer
one...foreign foreman..what say you..hehehe..what ever.

he is right some; the air filter for a 2000 to 3000 km running is still
clean but it depends on the weather condition u are in. if u're running
mostly in wet weather the air filter definitely could not sustain it's
cleanliness.I've opened and cleaned once my air filter by my self, its
difficult to get foreman to clean it. they gave so many excuses until u
felt/said "oooo ok i'll come back next time".

This reluctance could be because that they(foreman) think to clean GTS
air filter would take such time/difficulty. On my opinion, our GTS air
filter is a way more easy to be cleaned compared to the elegan. just a few
screw at the air filter compartment and tilt your bike ~45deg. would do
when you want to take off the air filter cover.

for elegan...emmm...too many things to be dismantle first.

LANCE, for servicing, if you have time just do it your self.

laVitesse,

Yeah... i did thought about that, but 2 things bother me ...

1. Where to DUMP the oil after drain?

2. I will need to buy the oil and get that pouring thingie that he used (to
get 0.8 litre of oil); with flexible head, since the oil opening not very
friendly...

so... still travel far to KF lor ... until i find better alternative...

Maybe Bikerz Puchong ... since it's sooooo near my apartment
