Confirm that's fella is cutting throat...RM 300 for changing rear
absorber?? If he uses Kayaba RS (sports type..short stroke)but i doubt
it...
Confirm at spare spare shop price is RM 60 to RM 65 per piece for rear
and eon charging Rm 70 to RM 75/pc exclude labour.
Labour is approx Rm 30 to RM 50 and EON labour cost did not defer much
from other mech.
All Waja 1.6 absorbers are using GAS.Do not use OIL type as it may not
support the weight of the car.
Monroe Reflex is using half oil and Gas which is ok ( not sure if they
have specific for Waja but according to some forummer, Monroe have it)...

oops.. now i have different prices of KYB absorbers.. some is saying less
than 100 some are saying 100++ per piece... erm.. does this have anything
to do with the 'place' that we go to?? anyway im in Cheras...

funny... why is it that mostly absorber problem is in the rear left?
Inherent waja problem??

Hi,

A lot of mechanics would use Wira rear shock absorbers (gas or oil) to
replace Waja's because they are cheaper. According to the SC, they can
fit but they have different damping rate. So, beware getting Wira's by
paying Waja's. I have checked with spare parts shop, it should be around
RM55-60 /pc and workmanship should be around RM20-25/side excluding
alignment. I think everything can be done below RM200 for both sides.
