Hawarey,
I don`t own a citra, but have 2-liter cars too. My car consumes 25~28sen/km on short trips.
Your bro`s car consumes hardly 19sen/km is considered as `frugal` for a 2-liter class car. A
friend of mine who have a citra says his car drinks 25sen/km on short journeys while 20sen/km
on `interstate` highways..

cheers

Hi all...

i read this with full interest. i owned a citra for 1 and half years now
and it has been very kind to me..no problem so far. This my 3rd car, used
mainly for balik kampung only...The FC is very reasonable..i used to
travel back to kedah and johor...and every time traveling i will fill in
till the nozzle stop and drive back and then refill again until the
nozzle stop again. The average filling is RM80 - RM 85, mostly around
RM83. For that amount i travelled in between 450km - 480km. 480km is the
most mileage i clock so far travelling in inland road from batu pahat to
mersing and back again (not straight highway)...for usual drive, my ratio
is about 30% inroad and 70% highway...and my citra carry with it a Thule
box all the time! my Kedah travel will cost me 420km a way, while johor
travel will cost me 320km a way....

I think FC wise, citra is good enough for me...but now thinking of
selling my citra for a SUV...sad though...

FC depends very much on your driving style, tyre condition (tyre pressure
can cause 20% effect on FC )....bye

Last week I went holiday with my family (2 adults and 4 kids) with my GLS
Citra. The fuel was fully loaded rm85 and it took me 500km from Seremban
to Alor Star using PLUS with constant speed 110km/h. I'm not sure whether
it's ok or not as some forumers said I should get more milage since I'm
crusing on highway with the said speed. Any comment? Cheers...

well netman01, yours are about the same as mine...are you not using any
Thule on top?...last week i went back to Kedah again, at about 380km i
refill my petrol again till the nozzle stop at RM65...so the fuel
consumption is still 17cents perkm...same as yours....

people are saying citra consume 20cents+ per km, which i disaggree base
on my experience...a friend of mine driving CRV, the FC is 20cents per
km...what about toyota wish and honda stream?..anybody would like to
share?

Hi Citra onwers,

My Citra CS year 2006, FC about 18cents/km for highway. BUT if city drive,
FC become 24-25cents/km.

For 2.0L MPV, I think FC is acceptable.

Just want to check with your guys, I went to Puchong Naza SC service my
Citra, 1 technician recommend me to install so called "petrol saver" unit,
cost about RM400. Can save upto 15% FC!!! Anyone installed b4?
