wow, finally dyno results! On the 6-speeder gearbox max allowable torque is 310nm, so peaking at 280nm will not kill it....yet keke.
Will anyone be doing another group buy soon?

Horsepower (at engine):
Just how is it possible to get these readings on a car with wheels?
The readings match that from Peugeot which AFAIK is based on the engine only.

Brake Hp is measured at the flywheel of the engine on an engine dyno. It requires removing the engine from the car.
Wheel Hp is measured at the drive wheels of the car with a chassis dyno.
Wheel Hp will always be less by 10 to 20% because of drive line losses.

A couple of us Peugeot 308 owners went for a dyno session earlier today, just for fun really.
That's not true, actually we are more interested in finding out whether a simple plug and play tuning box can make a difference in the car's performance. Since not a lot of solid information is available, let alone dyno charts. We all thought this could be fun and why not.
The tuning box we used is one from Germany that cost almost RM$1,000 less than the "P" brand tuning box, it is the same type of plug and play digital tuning box. The runs were done on a stock Peugeot 308 with no other modifications and here are the results,
Horsepower (at engine):
Torque (at engine):
We will try and do another run with the same car but this time with a "P" brand tuning box soon. It will be interesting to see if a higher price mean higher performance gains.
On a side note, the software Dynolicious is pretty accurate. The readings from this US$12.99 app is not that much different from what we get from a real dynometer. If you have an iPhone or iPad, it is worth checking out this app.
If anyone remotely associated with Nasim is reading, the runs were done on a 3rd party's car not mine. Don't even try and get any funny ideas regarding my car's warranty.
