How do we know when is the right time to change? When it starts to blur despite keeping the wiper and the glass clean? Thanks.

When the wipe is not clean, leaving trail of water droplets behind.
I suggest you try silicone wipers, and they last longer too. Mine 4 years already, rubber ones I change like yearly, max 2 years... smile_tongue.gif

There are many types and brands nowadays. Normal design. flat type, frame less and so on. Bosch, Dura Edge and PIAA are some of the branded ones. Dura Edge rubber ones are expensive but were at one time lifetime warranty, but heard they drop the warranty to 5 then now 2 years only, but price of course dropped. Bosch not too sure of the price but heard PIAA are very costly.
Well, for me, very miser one....ha! ha! If come to not these items like bulbs and wipers I don't spend too much on them.
Those days when only have rubber ones I used to buy 2 but only change the driver side. Then when they deteriorate, use the second one. The driver one I transfer to passenger side, which will be quite bad already....really miser, right?...ha! ha!

Then when silicone ones appear, they were quite expensive. Then waited a while, unbranded ones started to appear and prices started to drop. As mentioned I do not spend too much on wipers and when I found one that were only RM40 a pair I tried them out and is very happy with them. Like I say 4 years and still wiping quite well. Of course, still have to maintain them like cleaning them and so on. Sometimes when they do not wipe well is because dirt stuck on them.
However silicone ones are more sticky then rubber, maybe that is why they wipe well, but when without water they might just stick there without movement, so make sure operate when have water... smile_tongue.gif

Oh! for the price nowadays, I saw at Aeon around RM19 per pc. There are 2 or 3 brands there, or you can check at other hypermarket, like Tesco. Happy shopping.... smile_thumbup.gif

To operate effectively, wiper blades need to be replaced at least once per year. Also when replacing your wipers, you need to ensure you obtain the correct size.

If using rubber ones, then yes. Nowadays silicone ones last much longer.....
