Ahhh I see.
OK then.
Well I guess these odd sizes are a 'gem' to find. One of them I saw was
RE711 running on 13" kancil rims.
Wow.
Thanks for the info anyway.

There are also Bridgestone Dueller H/T 687 205/70R15 95S.. the only
different is the "thread pattern"... Potenza are for road use, Dueller
mainly for "off-road"... IMHO, I prefer Dueller, even though Potenza more
stable on wet road and during braking (judgement by feeling)....
Anyway, all stock tire for Kembara are OK.... IMHO, Aplina more quiter but
Silverstone have more grip than Alpina (not so much, provided you don't
push it to the limit)... this is based from my judgement... it may
differs from yours...
To judge yourself, try them on any concrete road/highways... PLUS highway
after Tanjung Malim (the first few kilometer very rough ones)....

Insider..talking bout Alpina..i driving with Alpina tyre, talking bout
Bridgestone, i did drive with techno and Potenza RE711, both of them
giving me rough ride, i mean when we talk about the 'silent' matter, but
not to mention the braking and handling capabilities, excellent. but the
concern now also the silent. how bout the dueller? are they quiter?

Hello Redwin,
You said you tried RE711 and the Techno?
Was this on the kembara or some other car? If it was for some other car,
well then the effects might be slightly different on a kembara.
That said, if it is silence you want, Yokohama A300 - Best bet. Almost
guranteed.
BTW, you SHOULD ask in the Yahoo kembara Forum. Lots of more experienced
people there.

If you ask me, potenza more quiter than dueller but the judgement itself
is based on "feeling" and it`s very subjective... differs from person to
person...
The unit with the dueller tyre just arrived "on-site" last month...
haven`t done the "mileage run/endurance" yet, so no "hard" data is
available...
A good idea is to ask around, Yahoo Kembara Forum is good place... get to
know them and maybe you can have a test drive in their vehicle to
experience it yourself, not just tire but on any mods on the Kembara...
You should judge it yourself since it is you who will be driving around
with the car... no point forking extra dosh for something that you "feel"
doesn`t give any major improvement, no matter what other ppl says....

"You should judge it yourself since it is you who will be driving around

I fully agree. All drivers try to adopt some of this attitude.
