Hello

I have a proton Waja 2008 at 80k right now

I have recently changed the brake disks and my brake pads would not last more than 4k km

I'm so tired of Waja stock braking even when it was new and looking to replace for aftermarket parts.

Note I'm from Egypt and probably going to ship parts overseas.

Could you help me suggest after market brake pads & calipers & brake hose? Or whatever I need to get serious braking power.

It would be best if I could get this from Europe supplier or so.

What brand of pad did u used that cant even go beyond 5k km?

Here in malaysia, bendix mkt (metal king titanium) hav goob feedback from user.
Also good feedback frm 1.8 user.

Disc and hose seem like oe is good enough.
If u insist u can go fr steel braided hose at roughly myr 350-450 a set.

Could you suggest an online shop where I could purchase a steel braided hose?

My Waja (2001 (A) )having braking problem just like you and it has nothing to do with brakepad and it is more because of the master brake pump was unable to compress or vacuum more air for better braking.

To solve the problem (cheapest way) is to mod a brake booster. Slightly expensive way is to get a 2nd hand double layer master brake pump from half-cut shop. Complete modification is to mod and add both brake booster and double-layer master brake pump together with 2nd hand twin-pot brake calliper from Evo 3.

I modded and added brake booster, twin-layer master-brake pump together with twin-pot brake calliper from Evo 3 and now my Waja can brake extremley better compared to the standard brake system.

Not 2 cent advice but it is really worked at least for my Waja.

Why? Due to the size?
If really cannot mod in, you can also buy aftermarket additional vacuum canister and add on to the existing vacuum servo.
Only not so nice in engine bay as got extra canister.....

If you read my earlier post you will see that I said my front brake callipers are from Evo 3 but not the master brake pump.

The master brake pump is actually from 2nd Gen Mitsu i.e. CK model.

Pls see file attachments - the one the brake oil container is the center is from Evo 3 and the other one which the
brake oil container slightly tothe left is from CK model.

The modification is a bit complicated as Waja original brake pump have 4 hoses while the CK master brake pump got 2 hoses so you ned to the buy Y brake adapter (for lorry) to modify the brake hoses.

e it is helpful.
