Out of curiousity, can we keep a SG car long term in MAL?
The reason is becos once u hv become a SG PR, u can't drive a foreign registered vehicle in SG.
The problem rises when if stay in MAL but still go back to SG for work or whatever.
Can. But got to renew roadtax/insurance in Singapore.
Ram me if you can!SplitFire

in fact i seem many SG register cars been keep/drive in MAL for very long period that suspected the road tax & insurance never been renew (as i saw the cars almost every days in MAL) so wonder how will the MAL authority enforcement to check their valid documents ?... think there is a big loop hole in our jpj system to monitor those cars been driving in MAL .....and i personally know one SG cars been transfer it to MAL register plate...not sure how the owner did it.

I got one friend driving these so call Singa-Land aeroplane car. A Honda Concerto, never renew roadtax/insurance for years. Cannot drive in Singa-Land, but driving freely in Monkey-Land.
Word of advice from him is, never ever involve in any accident. Any accident pun you salah. If involve in major accident causing dead to another party, left the car immeadiately and do not attemp to drive it again. If time allow, set fire and burn it.
Are you willing to face these type of possible hazard.

What about those ex-Singapore taxis that are still used as "Airport Limos" at Penang?? Or did they come from Japan?
