The prices quote are mostly for K.L./P.J. market.
For Alor Star you will have to check from your end.
I don't think they have the GY Excellence in your size. The GY Assurance I think have.
At RM180, the Falken ZE-912 falls into this category in P.J. pricing. Hankook V12 slightly higher. A-Drive AA-01 are entry level tyres and should be the cheapest. I would recommend either the ZE-912 or V12 to you.

rdgs,

since u r staying in Alor Setar...why dun you make a trip down to Thai....Hyatnai 2 change.

I guess there should b cheaper, as compare to Malaysia price, furthermore...most of the tyre nowadays make in Thailand....

Only those top end tyre will be made in Japan.....or Europe! Other then that...mostly Indonesia, Philipines and Thailand...

rdgs,

Thank you for your advice, but i think it's not a wise choice to drive my car to Hatyai and change the tyres there. When the Thai's saw my car from M'sia sure they will chop me "996". And from Alor Star to Hatyai is similar from Alor Star to Penang. No point for me to change my tyres there.
Anyways, thank you very much.
In Alor Star:
Falken Ze 912 is RM195/pcs for 195/55/R15
Hankook Evo V12 is RM210/pcs for 195/55/R15
Dunlop Fomula D1 is RM180/pcs for 195/55/R15

Not sure of Hankook price, but ZE-912 price is not far off (only RM10 off).
No point going to Hatyai then, unless got other things to do...ha! ha!
Formula D1 is harder and traction rating is "A" only, but treadwear in very high at 420 (I think)

The price you got quoted for the Hankook V12 Evo sounds about right, it's around RM200/each here in PJ, guess they are kind of a price controlled item for the dealers or something.

Then for Alor Star it is also RM10 more only, therefore the price is still okay also.....

So up to idsi to choose his tyres now.......

Thank you for the reply. I think i will survey the pricing in Ipoh when i go back. And will update the pricing when i got the info. Now is my mind, i reduce it to 2 options, either Falken Ze 912 or Yokohama A-Drive AA01. If any user have tried both tyres hope can share your experience. Thanks a lot.

Between the two, might as well go for the Falkens. They are mid level tyres in their range, whereas the Yokos AA-01 are entry level tyres. Price may not vary too much as the Falkens are value for money at the moment.

If you are checking out Ipoh prices, maybe "andrewlim" can help. He has not been on line for some time ever since he got his Hankook V12 Evo fitted in Klang, even though he is from Ipoh. Maybe you can pm him for help.
