Toyota Harrier is a good buy but ensure you are dealing with reliable used car dealer.

CRV simply because its new with warranty.
Ask yourself how much it will cost if the GB or anything else on the Harrier goes caput (I mention this) because it happened to one of our company's imported Lexus 240G.

Personally, I'd go for the new car over the second hand car. It's hard to have confidence in a second hand car in Malaysia and even if you get a good one you are always going to have problems with maintenance.
If you were comparing a new Lexus and a new CRV there would be no question which one is better but 5 years on someone else has had the best of that car and is selling you the problems. Not to mention the higher interest rate.
Just my 2 cents, or should that be 2 sen?

To all sifus,
a budget of RM150k, for the choice of NEW Honda CRV and 2005 second hand Toyota Harrier, which will be better choice.
thanks.

Bro,
Get that Harrier. I guaranteed more comfortable than CRV. TIll date I've not heard any major issues on a Harrier.
If budget allow, get a Lexus version with better interior built & furnish. Harrier 2.4 and CRV 2.0 FC not much different. But my RX300 FC is a bit high I admit, but power wise you'll crave for more.
Ram me if you can!

I agree with roocarroll, considering that one is not on a tight budget and can afford to buy a new car. It's a sheer luck to get a used car that requires little maintenance.
I'll be moving to Indonesia due to work. I heard that Harrier is a rare piece that still needs to pre-order and which means there will be months of waiting. I am considering of buying myself one here, and personally pay for an international auto shipping company to ship my car from coast to coast. I haven't done a lot of research, but do you guys think that would be a cheaper option?
