I believe I have seen many, many more Alfa breakdown by the roadside than I
have ever seen a Volvo. Big Smile

Someone told me that >2000 S70 has a better turbo system than the prior
one. I like the 2.0T version and is more powerful than the 2.5. Wish I'd
got one.
There are quite a few w/shops (check vocm site). Personally, I'd recommend
Volmal of Jln 5, off Jln Chan Sow Lin. For parts, I usually go to Yonit
behind YMCA or you could try NSS at 2 1/2 mile cheras road (opposite JKR
field). If you want potong parts, go to Jln Ipoh, Klang or Sg Besi. If you
want to repair on public holidays, go to Ah Soon at Ampang town. A bunch
of ex-FA moonlighters (btw the co is known as Moonlight Trading). You can
either opt for ori parts or OEM parts. Stay away from imitations from
Taiwan, Thailand or Malaysia. If you don't mind forking out a bit, Swedish
Marque is a good place where you get ori parts and good service.
As for buying one, P Autohouse has plenty but I would not recommend them
as their car are not in the best of conditions although they claim to have
restored them. Check out newpaper classified and always buy from owner who
has service records. Do not tempt fate by buying from used car dealers.
I think if you want a good one, you have to pay RM88k to RM95k for
2000/2001 depending on condition. If I were you, I'd pay a small premium
for low mileage/good condition than buying one cheaply and then having to
pay for repairs. 2cts.
