Brudder,

Yeah just renewed my road tax/ insurance, so it's been a year & 8000km.
Still haven't experience any known issues with bike. Engine still smooth &
strong. GTS is a great commuter just don't expect it to behave like a
sports bike. Complaints? can't think of any. Plastic panels are great &
paint still looks new & shiny. must've been great paint process. so far
have not lost any bolts or screws. Only thing that annoys me is handle
shakes when i release hands even when going slow. Dunno if it's tyre
pressure or just handling dynamics. Black plastic panels didn't warp or
changed bleached under sun, prolly cos' i keep my bike under shade most
times. Well, asked if i wanna sell it, maybe if i could get the right price
& i want to upgrade to something bigger or more powerful, but reluctant
cos' it's a reliable & cheap to maintain fuss free bike with maxi scoot
looks (compared with bigger bikes! got my sights set on a Kawa 750 naked
bike!) Only issue is keep on having a lust for more power which this bike
lacks. i still have no idea how u flers get it up to 140kph. I could barely
make 130 on a good day, though i hardly push it to the limits.

Hey brudders, i'm thinking of getting Dr. pulley for my ride. Where can i
do so & how much will it set me back? Also has anyone done any modification
to improve performance? Any upgrades besides lighted mirrors? BTW what's a
good tyre for normal use if don't wanna spend top dollar? Don't need
rubbers that'll allow me to do knee lowering stunts!

Is anyone organising a convoy soon and is there a GTS club now?

Hey dudes i`ve just started a forum at http://gtsers.activeboard.com/ as an
alternative platform for GTS owners. It`s only meant to act as a platform
for us dudes to hang out & share our experiences with each other & to get
to know each other further. So cheers mates!

Hey KLScoot,

thanks for the reply. I used to own an Enfield 350cc, not much in torque
but the beast was sturdy, smooth and heavy which is probably why when i
took my hands off it never vibrated or gyrated all i had to do to steer it
was move my hips :P

BUT

that was a long time ago... the GTS is probably much lighter hence such
problems i guess. wonder whether your tire of you folk or the folk
suspensions need checking.

You sound really bored with your bike now :P compared to ur earlier posts,
i guess that happens, looks like you have the need for speed :) My crucial
issues with bikes are its handling, power, and the look, i tend to lean
towards classics... but i'm not a superbike fan though, that much power
doesnt excite me, but the ride does though.

Orangasli,

I wouldn't say i'm bored! LOLX. Except recently i've really gotten into
bigger bikes! I mean i've been checking out bikes, was at Welly's Batu
Caves, think i fell in love with the Versys 650 but it's selling at a bank
breaking 49k, still the cheapest CBU bike in its class. Was thinking if i
can hock off my GTS for 8k with lighted GIVI Box, then i might consider
changing. BTW i had my rear brake pads changed at KF for rm110. Was
wondering if scooters wear out pads so soon? Didn't know that i was so
heavy on braking. lol. Think its best to keep another year b4 selling to
obtain optimal resale value. But meantime dreaming of the Versys, was
really hoping import duties would be lowered with new budget but no such
luck. Any chance the Versys will be CKD and sold sub 35k?? ER6-N ckd now
selling about 30k using same engine lump as Versys but different chassis
and no inverted forks. Waiting list i heard was 6 months!

Just had rollers and belt changed today at KF Motor for rm 210. Thought
best have it changed cos was hearing high whining noise from belt. Done
9200km, bike still in great shape except for the usual wear and tear. Had
the rear brakes changed earlier, bike rides like new now!

Hey KLScoot

ha ha ha... so you came to wellys Batu Caves, thats pretty close to where i
stay, in fact i visited the same store about 2 months back, was floored by
some of the machines i saw, nearly had a heart attack when saw the prices :P

absolutely understand your need there mate... (bigger bikes and all)

my interests are still with classics like the one i owned long time ago,
the Enfield 350cc, it rode like a dream man, heavy and stable with its
engine humming like the beating heart... it had its share of problems but
man what a bike , i keep thinking of buying one in India and bringing it
down here but unfortunately maintenance and part and skilled foreman are
not available.

ok back on toic now RM 8000 is too high for a 2nd hand :)))

perhaps you'll reduce it a little more after a year what say :)

ps sorry for the late reply
