Just acquired this used lion (year 2006, 30K Km) three months back.
Wonder if there's any other owner of this same lion in this forum? Just
want to share and get info from each other.

Oh...another thing. Had acceleration problems with it when acquired.
Wanted to go to Nasim Blue Box Glenmarie for servicing & troubleshooting
but they just opened there and quite kelam kabut, so I went to KS at Chan
Sow Lin. As brought up in another thread, it seems their service
commitment has deteriorated. They were highly recommended by other PUG
owners not long ago but from what I experienced, the technicians
have "tidak apa" attitude and not bothered to really try to solve the
problem I brought up. After changing the lubes and filter, they ran
diagnostics and just said nothing wrong as indicated by the computer.
Test drove with technician and he said the hesitation to accelerate
is "normal" with this model, so I didn't pursue the matter further.

The problem got worse in a few weeks, so I checked the spark plugs. They
were worn out and I replaced them myself. Quite surprised that the guys
at KS never bothered to check. There were some improvements but my PUG
still hesitates to acceleration from stop or slowing down. It's really
bad especially when trying to pull out from a slow corner.

Endured this until last week when I sent it to Nasim Blue Box again.
Still "kelam kabut" but because of just launching the new 407. Anyway,
got my PUG serviced again even though not due yet and told them the
acceleration problem. Well, you know what? Problem solved by just
updating ECU software (FREE as still under warranty)! Now my PUG flies
through corners! They also checked everything and replaced 2 blown bulbs
(which I knew off but forgot to mention).

And I can say that the service level and staff attitude at the Blue Box
has improved a lot (most of them ex-C&C staff). Only thing is cost a
little higher and have to wait longer but hey, they got the problem
solved and they serviced with a SMILE.

madmax64,

Hehe, I was just about to recommend you to update your ECU and see if
it's better.

Anyway, a RARE one you got there, nice~

Do check your throttle cable too, in order to make sure it is fully open:

By the way, what spark plugs did you change? I was thinking of going
Volker path...

Great to hear about your comments on the BlueBox Glenmarie! But sad to
hear about Kheng Soon tough.
Anyway, previously in BlueBox, the technicians/mechanic was pretty
friendly to me to; just that the service manager doesn't allow us to talk
to the mechanic or enter the service area. At the waiting area, you have
no information/knowledge sharing session. You can hardly communicate and
check your queries on your car or problems.

Anyway, wanted to ask you, what engine oil did you use? Still only
Petronas there?

Thanks.

Didn't know they came in 2.0 for Malaysia. I thought only 1.6!

Oh yes, they do have the 2.0 here. I think the model replaced the 1.6
since 2006. In fact I saw a new unregistered one (also manufactured year
2006) at the first floor showroom at Blue Box Glenmarie while waiting
during servicing. I guess they brought in a batch of the 2.0s then and
there are still some unsold. Was told there's a huge discount for it!

Thanks, Hari, for the link and thanks everyone for the welcome. Actually
I'm not that new to Peugeots...had a 206XR1.4 since 2004 and was eyeing
on the 307SW since then.

Andy, thanks for the info. Will check up on the throttle cable. Anyway,
my ride seems to perform very well after the ECU update and I noticed
that the FC improved substantially also! What a bonus! Also the engine is
EW10A with VVT, exactly the same as the engine in the new CKD 407, so I
shouldn't need to worry about parts, etc.
I changed the plugs to Valeo as they were the only ones I could find
then. I, too, was looking for better performance plugs, especially for
those Iridium based but couldn't find any yet. Next change maybe.
Aiyoo...I didn't check on what engine oil they used for my car. Neither
was it specified in the bill...just stated synthetic. But I saw some
Petronas plastic containers and lining papers there, so I guess they
probably used that.
You're right about them not letting us going to the service area but I
guess this is a common policy of all major service centres, regardless of
what car brand. Main reason is probably not to let car owners hassle the
technicians and probably also to prevent any "private arrangements".
Another story I was told was that there was once a customer who was
accidentally injured while in a service area of a major luxury car brand.
He sued and guess what - he won and had to be compensated! Don't know
whether true or not.

Anyway, I'm really enjoying my PUG now. Cheers.

Hi madmax,

I am also interested to get one. but I notice that used 307SW 2.0 is very
rare in the market. so, hard to detemine the market price. its more to
willing seller/buyer basis. How much did you pay for yr SW, if you don't
mind to let me and others know. At least I get some guides to start nego
with the seller.

There is one available now as posted by Mano recently. It is Year 2006
manufactured with mileage around 30K.

pisang...sorry took so long to reply. I haven't been going through the
forum for some time as I was really tied down with work and everything
else.

I got my SW2.0 at below market price because it's a bank lelong
unit...less than RM75K but difficult to use this as guide as this model
is very rare. According to the guys at the Bluebox, the number of units
registered in Malaysia is less than all fingers each of us has! So I
guess it's going to be difficult to get a used one.

i drove one 2.0 the other day and it was dissapointing.
Told the used car dealer he could keep it.

power was dissapointing and the auto transmission was jerking.
All this for a 2 year old car........
