Lexus RX300 only comes with 3.0cc. All 2.4cc or 2.2cc (old model) are
Toyota harier. If you see 2.4cc with Lexus logo, they are actually harrier
with the logo changed.

Toyota has just announced plans to introduce the Lexus brand in Japan. I
think it's being implemented now but limited to the LS430 (Celsior), ES300
(Windom), GS300/400 (Aristo) and IS200/300 (Altezza). With this, the
Celsior, Windom, Aristo and Altezza nameplates will be history. Strangely,
the Lexus RX300/330 will not be introduced in the meantime to the Japanese
market; it will continue to be sold there as a Toyota Harrier. I'm not so
sure about the fate of the SC400 (Soarer).

Anyway, before Toyota launched their aforesaid plans, in all probability
the Harriers imported into Malaysia from the Japanese domestic market are
Toyotas and if you see them badged as Lexus, well, they're not "genuine"
Lexus since Lexus is not sold in Japan. The few genuine Lexus found in
Malaysia are probably imported from the UK market, where Lexus has an
official presence.

Apparently, the same car if badged as a Lexus has a significant premium
over the Toyota-badged version.

Can anyone tell the difference between the two without looking at their
insignia for the latest model(2004 model).I heard that there are some car
dealers who actually rebadge a Toyota Harrier to a Lexus RX330 and make
customers believe what they are buying is a Lexus rather than a Toyota.
Any advice from any sifus out there?

A few more ways to spot the difference between Harrier and RX300 :

- Harrier has a small mirror on the from left side. Lexus left side mirror ( big ) will auto tilt down gear is at R.
- Harrier windows have "TOYOTA" printed on. This is very expensive to alter.
- Steering wheel : "2 O's" vs "L". This is very expensive to alter.

Bro,

RX300 min required use RON95 or RON97? I've not read the user manual yet coz my ride still undergoes a touch up.

Ron 95 is suffice for your G1 Harrier. User manual asks for >Ron 91.
