Help. Can someone please recommend me a good Aveo Service Workshop that you have been using. I have been going to one in Sunway for the past couple of years but recently find the service guys are no longer that good. I have an RPM problem with my Aveo, who is 7 years old. Physically still look very good. I have changed 2 idlng valve for the past 5 years. The most recent change was 2 months ago. Now my problem is back again. I want to look for a new service workshop.

hi
i recommend going to Korean Car Mates at Jalan Ipoh. I am a regular there...although their parts are not cheap, i do like their services.

My 2nd car is an aveo too, and it's also 7 years old. However, strange jerks had happened to my car when raining, here's my post:

will go to korean car mates this saturday to check it up. had you encountered this problem before?

np. warn you though, sometimes they use lubricants that are locally made, like when they put in brake fluid from a company that i've never heard off...so if you want more piece of mind, you could bring your own lubricants. Of course they will charge you a bit for that.

So far the SK ZIC brand of motor and ATF oil is quite ok..

last time they refuse for me to bring my own parts and lubricants...
force me buy parts from them.... >_<
but have to admit their diagnostic is top class compared to any other outside shops....they were the one who saved me thousands of bucks from claiming a throttle body while my aveo was still under warranty.
Naza & Cergazam folks don't even know what the problem was and was still attempting to "Service" the faulty throttle body wasting my 2 trips to their service center....after a few bad trips to service centers, Korean car mates told me it's the throttle body and i want back to claim a new one, then SC still refuse, say first try to service and clean it first....then replace a small part of the throttle body still fails....finally agreed to replace whole new throttle body only solved....Korean car mates folks told from the beginning that it's the throttle body that needs to be replaced....yet SC degil and do all stupid attempts to drag and hold me back from my claims wasting me 2 trips to the SC.....

Same thing here for the parts. They will refuse to install the parts that you've bought. But it's fair lah coz they will not want to be responsible if something went wrong. I rather pay extra for the parts they provided and they will not be able to run away if their parts went wrong. So far, all the parts I saw is either Korean 3rd party parts, of genuine GM-Korea parts. Some people are selling cheaper Thai-made parts, but I am not sure on how good those are.

Cergazam....sigh...less said about them the better. They are a nightmare, can't trust them with even a simple service.
