Hi all,

Just to let you know that i contacted Honda Malaysia back in Aug and in Sep/Oct they confirmed that my Ely is impacted by the recall. Both of my front airbags (driver and passenger) need to be replaced.

I strongly recommend to contact Honda Malaysia to check your Ely. Eventhough our Ely are imported, Honda Malaysia is under obligation to help us to get it replaced.

The process to is quite lengthy as they need to check your VIN number with Honda Japan to confirm whether your model is impacted or not. Once confirmed they will need to get the part into Malaysia.

For my case, since i'm currently based in Miri, i'm still waiting the part to be shipped to the Honda service center here in Miri. I was told that the part is already in KL, awaiting the to shipped to Miri. Just imagine i have to wait almost 4 month to go through this process.

Thanks.

Hi all,

Am thinking of getting Elysion 2008. Imported 2012. Have found one and if ok, intend to go ahead with purchase. Priced at RM75K w mileage of 81K km

Two questions before I commit
1. How reliable they are? How easy to find spare parts?

2. Do you have list of mechanics around Klang Valley that can take care of Elysion well?

Thank you

good day bro helmets, for tyre... it is not important to stick back to the original size that comes with your car. You can visit any reputable tyre shop and ask for their opinion... if you are not familiar with tyre, I can introduce my regular tyre shop to you, it is located at Klang and they offered economy to high end tyres range to their customer... feel free to call me @ 012-271 2273 if you are in Klang, I can show u the direction thru the phone.

last time, my Lancer GT comes with 215/45/18 Yokohama tyres... which even rare in the market... at last, almost all the LGT owners change their tyres to 225/40/18 which easily get in all tyre shop... as long as the ratio of the tyre size doesn't has a big different, it is consider ok de.

welcome bro accure, I guess you have the same dilemma with me last time when I am considering about elysion or estima or alphard... but trust me, you wont regret getting elysion... it is fun to drive and the driving experience is much better than alphard and estima, not to mention about those accessories that comes with the car. all the features that comes with elysion really make yourself proud to become a elysion owners. pricing wise, I guess the dealers that you visited are offering you quite a high price, try to squeeze them more. For 2.4 and 3.0 model, well... just like what bro leongts mentioned, it is really up to you whether you need a 3.0 engine or not. Anyway, I am happy with the performance of my 2.4 elysion running on a huge 19' wheels with 235/35/ZR19 tyres... I drive all the way up to Kek Lok Si at Penang last weekend with 6 adults + 1 baby without having any "under power" issue... the ride is smooth all the way up....

Surprised u can use 235/35R19 tire  :D Mine using 235/50R18 but sometimes hit rear wheel arch if there's any bumpy ride. Am thinking to change to 215 or 225 profile. Anyway, how do u guys coupe up with the audio player for Ely? Anyone using after market player or is it mostly using the only CD / Aux? THANK YOU  :D

recently, I brought my whole family 6 adults + 1 baby to penang for holiday on my elysion... I am really satisfy with this car which give max ride comfort to the passengers and a very enjoyable driving experience to me. all the way, I cruise at 140-160km/h and yet most of the passengers can sleep well in the car...

however, I notice something very funny during the trip. there is a japanese lady talking occasionally when I am driving, I can assure that I didn't press any button on the steering or the iDrive system... sometimes, there is a "Ding Dong" sound also... this happened few times during the trip. I am wondering whether the japanese lady try to remind not to go too fast since I cruise at 140-160km/h all the time during the trip or is there any other meaning come from that voice? anyone experience this please share out, perharps our sifu bro leongts experience this before.

Update for my Mugen + Fabulous bodykit, the kits already arrived in KL and now in my friend's paint shop and probably next week can install on my elysion. after that, need to custom my exhaust system since the Mugen bodykit comes with 2 exhausts outlet at the back, already source for few options and will post some photos when it is done...

I also thinking to install PIAA daylight LED on my elysion fog lamp... thinking of the new merc E-class daylight LED on the fog lamp (L-shape) type... will try whether it fit my elysion or not....

after bodykit, my next target will be Modulo Sport Suspension, I found it from Honda Access Japan website and this parts only cost RM2.6k after conversion, it give our elysion a more sporty suspension with 25mm lower than stock suspension setup. it is a coilover set complete with coil spring which I think is a good value buy. if compared to tein wagon GT adjustable suspension, it almost cost RM5k+ for a complete set which I think a little bit overkilled to be install on our elysion... let see how it goes ...

hopefully I able to source this modulo sport suspension from singapore...

Actually 235/35R19 is almost 7% smaller than your 235/50R18. If your wheel are hitting your wheel arch, either your Rims offset is too far out or tyres too big. If your original tyres are 215/60R217 then 225/50R18 will be closer to your original diameter. Currently is 1% bigger which is actually okay but I think either your tyres too wide (215 to 235) or offset too much
