Good day to ALL 1.8 owners
Did you guys know where can I buy cheapest clock spring (unit before
wheel steering installation) for Waja 1.8? I have asked for PROTON Parts
Centre and they cost me at RM 365.40.
I did take off the clock spring and now my Waja run without horn
sound, audio button L/R mal function and so my auto-cruise.
Please help me
Thanx

price for clock spring with SRS (for Waja 1.6 EV) is around RM 190 at
spare part shop. Original Proton part. Just changed mine last month.
for 1.8 with auto-cruise, should be a little bit higher...
For sure Proton Part Center price is higher, almost the same if u buy from
Proton SC...

Hi, just replaced my 1.8 clockspring for RM356.00 and labour charge waived
(after I complainted) as PE made mistaked, not once but twice, by ordering
a diff model one & caused me wasted my 1 day AL. Btw, i'm from southern
region.
Hence, do note that the correct part number is "PW851601" and no other.
Standard warranty is 6 months or 10,000km whichever comes first.
Hope it help.

1. Remove ignition key then turn steering wheel to right till self lock
2. Flip open steering center cover
3. Insert 17mm socket with extension into centre steering nut & turn anti-
clockwise (you may use size 17mm cross spanner normally used to remove
the car wheels)
4. Once nut removed, insert car key then straighten your steering wheel.
5. both hands, hold left/right of steering pull slowly but firmly left
and right left and right until loosen
6. Once loosen, make sure steering at centre position, also remember to
unplug the wire going to socket of the clock spring before removing the
steering away from the hub.
7. lower your steering to remove your steering column, 5 screws from
bottom.
