don't simply hear from untrue sources. The new lancer engine does have
variable value and cam timing as well. Lay man term. Its equal to I-VTEC.
The car not even deliver to the customer yet. How can one judge that its
consumption is high? I can sense sour grape on the statement.

I owned a b16a before. Compared to the newer designed engine like i-vtec
and 2008 Mivec where the manufacturer include the self adjustable cam
timing in to it, are giving better fuel consumption. New engine to engine
as of now, one doesn't know until it is driven and tested on the lancer.
I will provide report once I get hold on my car.

hi all,
ya i agree with ace, u need to own the car some time than only u can make
a conclusion on its consumption...
anyway...hi or low consumption is very subjective...if u compare to a
1.3l advanza, all 2.0l car in de world will be very hi consumption lorrr
if u compare with those who drive bmw 528i, or mercs s320...2.0l mivec or
ivtec sure kacang putih only lorr
but when u compare ivtec with vvti or mivec or cvtc with the same engine
capacity...i dun think they have a very big gap in fuel consumption...the
key word should be ur right foot....
furthermore, if u really like the car, u dun mind to pay a few % extra in
fuel.....
have a nice day man...
