Yokohama C-drive

The C-Drive have been launched for quite a few years already. It was first made in Japan, by currently they are Made in Philippines.
Tyres are a cross of comfort and performance (more towards comfort), but not sure of the Philippines made ones.

VR, I changed it for my sec end last year mah ..Dry grip still ok ,wet are slightly below par. It's not really quite (almost the same with 912). Sidewall are soft type and tend to go sideway but better than 912. Hv to increase air pressure by + 2 psi.

Quite expensive thou.

Hi,
I have been using Yokohama C Drive since Christmas 08 and I can say I am impressed with the performance.
I was having Pirelli P6000 before the yokohama.
On the wet it performs just as well as Pirelli.Been raining daily lately.
I was hesitating when it comes to Asean made tyres but now I am definitely impressed.
Last time when I was using the Pirelli and powers off in the corner I will see the Electronic Stability Control(ESP) blinking but this Yokohama does not.
Maybe this Yokohama are still new,maybe I will report when it is 50% worn.

You are right,the sidewall is a touch too soft and I have to play around with the air pressure.
All in all I manage to get it correct after 3 visit to the petrol station to get the preferred air pressure.
The price difference compared to Pirelli is worth the visit to the petrol station though.

rahmanwang.. good job and at least u hv tht knowledge man~ . So how much you increase for the air pressure? (is normal to increase air pressure for soft sidwall tyres but if too much then it will turned bumpy oso)

Pricing .. Depends what u're comparing ..I think I will go for 912 instead which is cheaper ..or maybe the V12 since its quite hot up recently. So comment saying is quite comfort for a Uni.

If you want to increase the air pressure for performance, then it defeats the purpose of comfort.... smile_big.gif

Using Japan C.drive on my E class... Very satisfied with the wet/dry grip and quietness. No complains. Really got what I paid for.

Problem now is, C-Drive is made in Philippines, so is the grade the same as the Jap ones....
They have difference in F1 GS-D3 German and Thai Made, and some complaint of tyres now made in Indonesia....

Have the C.Drive on my Toyota Ipsum MPV now. Previously it was Goodyear Eagle RV - performance tyre for SUV/MPV. 205/60/16.

The C on the tyre should be for comfort and confident and I agree. However, if you like to take corners at higher speed, please avoid this tyre.

During heavy rain - no problem.

Mine is Philipine's made.

Yokohama C.Drive is the OEM tyre for Lotus Elise.
