this is what i was told by one of the sales staff who attended the
training course for Myvi launching...!!!
as far as i know, Mercedes is using Timing Chain, so anyone can prove this?
the door handle is solid also, although the plastic material of the CD
player looks cheap..
Overall it is a very good car, value-for-money, especially for lady
driver..

1.3 K3-VE is timing chain engine as Kembara DVVT and Avanza
but 1.0 EJ-VE is a timing belt engine that is upgrade Version of EJ-DE
which used in Kenari/Kelisa. (Note: EJ-VE used in export version of
kenari/kelisa before, more 3hp than EJ-DE)
Most of the toyota , New Honda, and nissan are using timing chain,
nothing special but lower maintain fee as less thing to change!!
MB and BMW both using timing chain engine now too, nothing to shouting
about too!!

Well, what a back-date tech they're using. Nowadays, new cars are using
timing belt same like those fan belt but with gigi. The belt is better in
the sense that if it breaks it won't harm or break any parts or components
around it thus reducing the costlier repairs. are you sure the Beemer and
Merces still using timing belt?. If you says that Jap cars likes Toyo or
Hondi and Polotong, Kie or others I do believe but not Beemer or Merces lah.

The new Honda accord,Civic, all Nissan cars, new Toyota
Camry,BMW,Merz,Suzuki swift all are using timing chain...more newer cars
are using timing chain as it has less maintenance.New chain has better
stress resistance compare to the old one....but be realistic la.How long
you intend to keep the a car.If you want to keep more than 10 years...that
would not be any problem. But with timing belt...you have to do regular
change every 60,000km-80,000km.

Why P2 is better than P2?
Because P2 is owned by Jap, P1 is owned by .
