so far the best tyre shop i go for my alignment in KL is located serdang
perdana seksyen 2. the tyre shop located just behind an acessories shop
called automotive genesis.

the name of the tyre shop is Ah D tyre shop. he is using manual operated
alignment machine for his job. at first sight, u wont look up on the shop
as not much tyre or rim is stock up in his shop. but his workmanship for
alignment is great so far. few frens who i recommended to go over there
also give a positive feedback.

i accidentally go to this shop when i drop by automotive genesis for my
abs upgrade at late evening. at first i really doubt his workmanship and
also the tools but it prove me wrong. manual alignment is far more
accurate than machine. try it out bro.

Firstly, it is the person. Whether manual or computer, the person must know
how to use.
Secondly, he must know what to do. Different car have different settings.
Thirdly, will be compensation, meaning if the car is old and have worn
bushes etc. the setting may be different, then he cannot use the actual
setting and compensate with the different readings.
Lastly, for computer aided alignment machine, they also require weekly
calibration. If not done, the reading may be right, but actually it is
wrong....

clause,

I don't mean you have to go to the shop I go to. There are other shops that
are also good, as mentioned by other forumers.
Just that those who push camber screws for a living is just not right......

Just last week I went with a friend to change tyres. Since he changed 4
tyres they gave him free alignment.
As mentioned, they ask him to fit camber screw at RM60 to one side. Since I
was around he called out to me and asked for my opinion. So I ask the shop
guy, what is the reading. It was negative 0.2 on the right and negative
0.45 on the left and insist the left one have to fit in the screw. I told
him to just adjust the alignment to toe in and it will correct the negative
back slightly and can be used. He was like shocked, so he said okay, I will
align it back and ask my friend to use first and if he feel any thing wrong
to come back. Ha! ha! he just lost one deal......

vr2,

agree on the chamber screw problem which seems quite a usual practice for
a tyre shop to push for it and the main problem is, the screw itself is
made from sth aka recycle metal / china made compare to OEM.

if im free for sure i wan to try it out the shop recommended plus the shop
listed is quite far also from my house.

I started my 100km journey to KL cos I am scouting for 15" rims for my naza
bestari 206 on saturday 19 July. My first stop was the tyre shop in Sunway
pjs 11, the 1st shop when u turn left at the Esso pump station. They have
2nd hand ori pug 15" but they wanted 1k for it. After trying it on an a bit
of haggling, I was not ready to put my moolahs; so I went to other shop but
to no avail.
Then I went to klang but 15" for pug is quite rare, plenty of 16" though. I
went to 4 shops. Even My favourite shop in Klang(the 5th one) didn't have
any but they said they have ordered 3 sets. It was nearly 6.45pm when I
went to JOOI SENG. They have lenso 15". after a bit of haggling, we (the
person n I) agreed on the trade-in price and the fella said the price is
inclusive of everything. In the midst of discussion, I mentioned to him
that this is the first time I'm trying JOOI SENG cos I wanna compare the
level of the service given between JOOI SENG n my fav shop. He boasted the
even my regular shop cant beat JOOI SENG in terms of services rendered.
Based on my previous experience, when I reach a deal n the shop says price
is inclusive of everything, then everything means removal, fitting, valves
n lug nuts, balancing n alignment. I made him say TWICE whats included in
the price n he said the more or less like what i mentioned above plus the
inclusion of nitrogen gas.
When they had taken out all four tyres, they realised that they cant use
the original nuts with the rims n they told me that I had to buy another
set of lug nuts (they claimed it's for BMW cars). When I enquire bout the
price, they quoted $250!! I was shocked. I tried to reason that our deal
was the price inclusive of everything but HE denied, saying that he didn't
mention the nuts. He claimed that mercedes nuts are cheaper but the thread
is coarser n cant be used compared to BMW ones. I told him, in that case,
just put back my original set since we couldnt reach an amicable solution.
He CHARGED me $50 for removal n refitting of the original tyres. I was
annoyed and I told him that its not my fault that he cant fit the new rims.
He got angry and told me, 'look, either you pay $50 for us to fit the
tyres back or you fit back the tyres on your own but we still charged you
$20 for removal'. He also went on that even if I GO AROUND KLANG, I wont
find cheaper price for the lug nuts. When I sense that he has become
irritated, I just said ok but I insisted that he wrote a bill for me. We (
with my other 2 friends) finally left the shop at 8.00 pm.
MY grouse here is, how could JOOI SENG staff asked for $50 for labour
charge to remove and to refit all 4 tyres?? Is it my fault that he cant
fit the new rims just because he couldn't use the original lug nuts and
later on tried to intimidate me to buy another set of 16 nuts for $250??
He treated me as if that was the first time I changed sport rims!! For me,
I'm prepared to pay $20 BUT $50 is too much cos I've done the rotation of
all 4 tyres before n the shop where I did it only charged me $15!!

I was really ANGRY and vowed that I will write about this in the forum so
that others could benefit from my mishap. All the sweet talk that he
presented during our negotiation turned to intimidation when I told him to
refit my original rims!!

I thought people at SUNWAY would be lansi but JOOI SENG is worse!! He's
right in saying that JOOI SENG won't be beaten by my regular shop in KLANG
for the service level given. WITH THAT KIND OF EXPERIENCE, I'LL NEVER GO
TO THAT JOOI SHIT AGAIN!!

Art,

Sorry to hear of such a thing. You are Number two already. Bro. Veege in
another post also mentioned about Jooi Seng.
Something about all in also, and in the end denied and added some charges
in which he was very cheesed off.

But your price of RM50 seems too little to go to tribunal court. Waste of
time, unless you want to give him some problems.

Hmm,
I didnt think about going to tribunal court. I'm more into informing
others; DONT bother going to JOOI SENG. I've been buying rims from few
places and this is THE WORST experience. My two friends also were pissed
off with that guy's attitude...
