Ford Lynx - Engine stalling problem

for a checkup this weekend:
Car was idling pretty low and unstable, and stalled a few times
especially with air-cond switched on. Have subsequently replaced all 4
spark plugs and everything seemed fine.
Later that day the problem kicked up again, this time the accelerator
was "choking" badly even if it was stepped on. And I was driving around
without air-cond to prevent it from stalling.
Continue driving on until the car wouldn't start again after dinner. And
faint burnt smell could be felt after numerous failed attempt to start
the engine. I had to leave my car there until the next morning.
Found a mech and went to the car. It now starts up sometimes but either
the idling was low and unstable, or the engine would stall immediately
upon accelerating. Pushed the car into workshop and have the following
items replaced:
- fuel pump (this was apparently the main culprit)
- fuel filter
- spark plug cables
- spark plugs (again...)
The car is now drivable, but engine chokes and coughs every now and then.
And I only switch on the air-cond while driving, as it might stall when
not moving...
Pretty frustrating after spending few hundred bucks on the repair, any
idea what else could have gone wrong in my case here? Opinions/feedbacks
much appreciated, cheers!

Just wonderin gif I could manage this on my own, though not likely that
I'm able to fix anything...

try to get from potong shop. This may sacrifice some money la, like when I
suspect my throttle body not in good condition when WOT reading not up to
maximum, after sent to Ford SC checked with computer and idicates TB
sensor not good, but chged to second hand one oso same reading. Might be
some other else. Mine oso RPM drops and rise again when chg gear P to D,
but engine never die la.

Anyway, i think we know this stalling prob is due to the cam sensor. Just
to ask, do u guys buy and keep it stock ready ? As i plan to do so...
buy and keep, so when prob come can fix it ASAP, no need to wait for
ordering.
What u guys think ? Good Idea ??
Thanx

I had very similar problems too. Not sure if this will help though. From
my experience:
- Try checking the ignition coil. I had to replace it with a new one to
solve this problem
- Spark plugs/cables (this is unlikely since you've already changed them)
since mine actually got flooded when I sent my car in for an engine wash
last year.
Hope this helps.
