IMHO the deduction must leave u enough NDI to go on with daily needs and u can save some for that unexpected moment.
different locality have different cost of living.
no specific number.
if bnm issue something,its just a GUIDELINE.
the keyword is guideline which banks wil implement their own regulation amd work around the guideline to generate business.
so,
if u already have a car which dont give u problem then keep it.dont gatal2 buy another car.
if u really need a car, go for the cheapest one with the best quality.im not saying u to go buy a viva or 2nd kancil.
go find the best car u can find at the cheapest price and at the same time have good NDI.

A bit direct, but d*mn good advice. Don't get into more debt just because of the car....
