The thing is that when Honda refuses customer claimed for faulty parts, a
vehicle owner is tempted to sell it while its still working ok. Then come
another grunted buyer which also does the same thing. Its the same with
Toyota. Mine has an immo problem which they refused to rectify or even
acknowledge, until I talk to their manager and ask him to insure my
safety. Since then I have gone through 3 immo change. Talk about refusing
to acknowledge their own fault.

City CVT not the 1st batch CVT in Honda but only in Malaysia. Before that
there are civic using CVT call multimatic gearbox. The CVT technology if
not mistaken in already started at 197x.
I am very confident that Honda will do the best for their car before and
after sale. Just because it is CVT, people highlight it. We don't talk
about other maker, even Accord, Civic will have their gearbox problem
too.
If the new technology are from Proton, then I'll wait and see. For maker
like Toyota, Honda and Nissan, just don't worry. I haven't face any
problem to claim from Honda SC. Actuall I do not claim anything from my
2003 idsi but for the startup clutch but this is actually unnesscery
because the problem is not the parts but was the CVTF problem.
My commen is, Change CVTF, spark plug at Honda SC, others like engine
oil, air filter, oil filter can be done at outside workshop. Service and
parts like Aircorn service and fuel filter. I had no commen whether
outside workshop can do it or not.

is time to sell ur ct, a lot of ct on the road start giving gear box
problem (especially after 3 yr one), my fren told me his ct idsi sometime
gear can't up to 7 speed, noly engage in 6 speed, when he notice this
problem he sold the car last 2 month. i hv seen many ppl talk abt this
topic & I fore see that this will effect the second hand value in the
future, if the problem come serious ! (like proton penana & wira 1.6 A)

Flickering RPM has also been linked to some cases of battery failure (if
I remember correctly that some of them change batteries and case solved).
Have SC check your battery as well.

Your is not the only one la. My exgirlfriend also got gearbox problem in
her hondacity. when she told me the mechanic said gearbox trouble, i
disagreed and said boldly to the man how can this be. I took charge like a
good macho boyfriend to a honda specialist in puchong. gearbox problem!
water masuk ka? atau bad batch? he did not want to say anything.

used city as compared to similar vios is lower, so I reckoned the public
knows about the problem already. Also, there seems to be alot of 3 years
old city being sold so definitely people will start to ask question, why?
