Dear all,
Even I'm driving one but not so sure about it. Saw one phrase in manual - to inspect the
timing chain (100 000 km) BUT for the model with no c/converter??? What does it mean??
Care to explain anybody???

City, like its big brothers the K20 and K24, uses a timing chain, not
timing belt.
timing belt.

nick,
Just to confirm with you something which the SC told me about City's
timing chain.
The timing chain will contribute some strange noise(like aeroplane noise)
when i cruise about 60-80kph. After this speed range, the noise will
disappear away. If what SC said is true, like to know why timing chain do
contribute noise while driving at this speed range.
Not sure any other City owner hearing the same noise, so far my gf's City
also has it.
Thks & Rgds

could it be due to ATF transmission oil inside the CVT component ?

i have this aeroplane noise too. But i don't think it is from the timing
chain. the engine is far in front and the passenger cabin is well
insulated. The noise is most probably from the CVT.
