Spark plug : Should be the default "Champion RFC 87YCL opening 0.9" but using some cheapo spark plugs now =_="
Fuel System : Sagem S2000
Torque (x / o.min) : 170Nm/3750

Air Filter : Stock(gonna change to K&N as recommended by brother Arazakmy)

I bought waja 1.8x Dec 2002 (the first display car when it was launched) and so far i got 123k km.
after 8 years:
1. radiator fan broke. got new radiator and fan (FOC)...happened in 2005 after 55 km.
2. changed new alternator - cost around rm600+ if not mistaken. (dah lupa)
3. steering clockspring - rm240
those 3 were the only extra cost i spent beside regular maintenance i.e. oil, plugs,belts, absorbers, power window etc. But for the last 4 years my ABS and hand brake lights have been "on" all the time - I need to fork rm350 to fix ABS.
honestly , l like my 1.8 despite low resale value...powerful

you bet ! but now having problem with ..may be GB. when try to accelerate feel like 3rd gear . bila dah laju dia ok balik..been happening since last sunday...

My Waja 1.8 2003 has been having GB jerking problem for many years and I have learn to live with it. Basically whilst engine
still running, and below 90 km, just switch it off and on again (within seconds) and the gear box light will dissapear. When the car is above 110km and if the GB light appears, it will give you a jerk when the tranny shifted down at 110km. I have flushed and changed ATF a couple of time and look like it need to change the TCU and sensors... The millage now is 145k km and I have had pleasant and no bad experienced... except when the housing fan disintegarate 3 months after purchased... but it was under warranty then
The 4 absorbers changed last year (KYB) and engine mounting also changed. Now the middle exaust pipe need to changed... as the car sound a bit like motorboat. Any good exhaust workshop in setapak, uk area?
Also just changed left passengers windows power motor... and respray touch-up..
Overall my opinion on Waja 1.8 is a good car and nice handling and powerful... The first time, my brother in law get into the car he asked me "is it a 2 litre engine?'" if only the reliability is not so much an issue.. the car is a wonderful to drive..
Sadly, got to part with it soon as it getting a bit expensive to maintain... My son who just got his licenced asked me to pass down the car to him but then I will still have to maintain it...
Waiting for delivery for Silver Exora H/Line... 2 weeks already waiting

possibly gotta do with solenoid.Or flywheel, try cleanin it.
