Kerb weight is the total weight of a vehicle with standard equipment, all necessary operating consumables (e.g. motor oil and coolant), a full tank of fuel, while not loaded with either passengers or cargo.

Gross wt = kerb wt + passengers + cargo

Kerb wt = BTM- berat tanpa muatan, Gross wt = BDM- berat dengan muatan.

Usually, kerb weight is used.

ok i got it now...

but i've test drive civic 1.8/ 2.0 (i can't remember) clock 30k km at sg besi, and stream (new) at other branch

according to
Civic, 1.0/1.2 x 174 = 144.99PS/ton
Stream, 1.0/1.5 x 174 = 115.99PS/ton

but i feel civic less power, and the steering very heavy smile_angry.gif

Due to Stream's heavier body Honda could have re-tuned the TCU (Transmission control unit) and or with slightly different ratios causing the heavier model have good pick-up or responsiveness in low or mid revs but mebe higher FC... Maybe some experts cud input in on this.

It could be due to gearing.

Anyway, since you failed to correct your post, I will help.

All the figures you qouted are not for power(PS), but are for torque(Nm).

These are all max. torque in Nm-newton metre. The max. power output in PS are in bracket.

altis 1.6 = 145Nm @4400 (? I don't know)
city 1.5 = 145Nm @4800 (120PS @ 6600rpm)
stream 1.8 = 174Nm @4300 (140PS @ 6300rpm)
accord 2.0 = 189Nm @4300 (156PS @ 6300rpm)
civic 1.8 = 174Nm @4300 (140PS @ 6300rpm)

But the method of calculation remains the same.

For eg, Civic's specific output = 1.0/1.8 x 140 = 77.8PS/L

and its power-to-weight ratio = 1.0/1.2 x 140 = 116.7PS/ton

If the Civic does indeed has a specific output of, 1.0/1.8 x 174 = 96.7 PS/L,

then it's in supercar territory liao lor.

Only one Honda engine has a specific output of more than 100PS/L, and it's the type R.

For eg, the FD2R produces 222PS from a 2.0L engine, giving it a specific output of 111PS/L.

Ferrrari's latest California produces 453hp from a 4.3L engine, so it's specific output is 105hp/L.

So the mighty type R has a specific output higher than a Ferrari.
