Hi guys/gals i am going to have to change my tyres all 4 of them as it is
becoming bald already. My current tyres are Good F1. Very good in dry and
wet condition and extremely quiet. No aquaplanning or anything else. No
complaints for this tyre except for the price only. It cost RM 230 now for
one. Even comes with 1 year warranty for Road Hazards(nails, glass, keys
etc etc)
So planning to change all 4 tyres but looking for lower cost tyre. Any one
can recommend good 15 inch tyres but with lower price?
Must be
1. QUIET
2. Good cornering grip
3. Good water dispersion
4. Good braking

The goodyear F1 is giving all that so if cannot find looks like i have to
stick back to GY F1 again. RM 230 X 4 = 920 ;~(

I`m telling you this...

Once you are using GoodYear F1, going for a lower speced is not
recommended.

Some other choise of tires are the Michelin PP2, Toyo T1R, Falken St115
and B.Stone GIII . But those price are above RM200. Of course, those are
premium tires. You are also currently premium tires. Going one step lower
is not advisable.

Of course most ppl. are not racer that need to own those kinda of tires.
But do look at the safety aspect. You never know when you need to swerve
hard to avoid a car, lorry, big hole, stagnant water. And you`ll never
know, that you are doing some crazy cornering due to a kancil wants to
overtake you. Now that is driving in Malaysia condition.
Having premium tires is like Gods gift to you...dont trade
it for anything lesser.

My advice,
The best is to look around shops for the best deal for the new tires, old
ones you are abt to trade in, blc and alignment. Some shops offer nothing
or little for a used tire and some even offer RM40 for one.

I can say this is the best things being a member in Autoworld. I can get
honest and experienced advise from the members here, it is very valuable
and very meaningful opinions.

I do thought of that since a few times i felt the GY F1 saved me from
accidents. I am only afraid that if i changed to other brands it will not
save me from that anymore.

Cheers to all that replied.

Between those premium tires I mention, the difference will only be
slightly. More like characteric difference.

But changing to lesser tires, we are talking abt. performance drop! Even
with the same brand.

In addition, from my past experience, I have been using Michelin Pilot
preceda, Good Year F1, Falken Azenis and bridgestone G3, but I think CPC 2
is the best..currently i'm using 195/55/15

dare to try..

After looking at Continental advents in Mags, I also thinking of getting
the Contisport. Wonder if they have 195/50/15.

azbro,

Contisport does not come with that size..minimum 16"..and it is malaysian
made..but CPC 2 is imported from europe..

CCI is also local made..

their local factory in P.J produces CC1 and Contisport only..

You can feel the different between local made and europe made..i.e. the
europe made is less weigh..local made is more heavier..
