Any MyVi owners experiencing Radio Kaput!!!
My Bro in Law's MYVi SE 2007 (oct 2007), until now the Radio has gone kaput
for 3 times. When he send it out to the SC, it will take them about 1-2
month to repair...After a 2-3 month it will kaput again...Last Thursday it
happened again... During morning when he goes out to work it was ok... By
the time he wanted to go home in the evening, it went kaput again...

By Kaput i meant that, it cannot be turned on. Even the clock is gone.
Previously he checked with accessories shop and the checked the wiring and
connection. All ok. So must be the radio thingy... When he sends out to the
SC, they will take out the radio leaving a big damn hole in the console
where you can put a baby's head in it...

Anybody else having the same experience???

radio kaput is very popular among P2 cars. lifespan only 2 years. if before
2 yrs time...consider bad luck. if still can use after 2 yrs...consider
lucky. after 3 year very very lucky.

u know whats the vendor's name for that bloody radio?---->BETAMEK
after 2 years it will become a ######MEK.

Hmmm, Betamek is one of the clients in my firm.. Hehe... My Myvi 2 years
+... No problem with the CD player...

Only problem is the petrol smell after fill up petrol.. Disc brake makes
the steering vibrate and back seat very hot during long journeys... Other
than that, OK..!! My myvi FC damn high... Full tank only around 320 km..
Around 40 km per bar.. :(

Owned Myvi for 18 months and I have replaced the following items:

1) 2 sets of Rotol disk due to vibrate during braking.

2) 2 sets of power steering pump.

3) 3 sets of power window.

4) 1 set of wheel bearing (front)

other than the above, I would give a good verdict to the VVTI engine that
proven to be very reliable, smooth and powerfull as compared to 1.3 saga.

Cheers.

Alas...that`s a lot of things to change in an 18 months! Was the car new
when you bought it? How much mileage have you covered?
