A lot of us (incl. myself) have read reviews from Europe, and most of these
reviews favours Diesels over their petrol versions.
But ironically, the diesel equavalent (correct my England), in most times
shows unreliability, more maintainence needed etc against the petrol versions.
For instance (maybe this is just for the Fiat Multipla), I read many
praises and excellent reviews from Europe that the diesels are better buy
than the petrol. But after some time, owning a Fiat Multipla diesel is a
pain for some (from forums).
Perhaps, the reviews were good at time of purchase and test drives. But
when it comes to owning them for sometime, you'll praise the petrol
versions. My petrol Multipla is 5.5 years old and have japanese reliability.
