Virlution,

Auto or Manual Iswara's carburator is very close to each others...just
some minor different on the carb vacumn (auto need to connect to
gearbox)..but they are compatibile to install to each others as well...
(e.g auto can use manual's carb or other way round)

if just replacing the auto choke..original is about RM700...entire new
carb (original + together with auto choke is around RM2K)....

Taiwan made carb is around RM1K...not sure they got sell just the
autochoke or not

Sorry for keeping quiet for quite sometime. Yes, I can give the old
carburattor to you, g88. I stay in Subang Jaya. Honestly, I didn't know
there is 2 version of carb, Taiwan made and the original. And I didn't
know that the auto-choke and the carb can be seperated and sold
saperately. Yes, auto and manual carb are quite the same. When I had a
carb transplant, the machanic removed some parts from the old carb and
fixed it to the new one. Obviously the new carb was meant for maunual. My
old carb is about 14 years old. It was kept idle for 2 years. The main
reasons were alot of miss-firing during cold start and poor FC.

isw95,

Halfcut carburator not the same as our local model since their one have
heater feature...i came across a car asked me to tune and found was from
halfcut (engine as well)...idling cannot lower - stay at 1.3K all time
since the mech installed the engine for him remove the heater part which
also control the idling...

BUT if you could find SG halfcut then it's find since same as local model.

Someone wants to sell me his unused carburettor overhaul kit since he
sold the car before he got round to doing it for $250. He says it's from
Taiwan but can be used on Proton cars. Is this a good deal? Does this kit
include the autochoke and carburettor gasket? If not how much are they at
spare part shops?

Thanks.
