Hi! I'm going to get my first car indeed. However, I can't make decision
on whether to get a brand new persona or a second hand 2003 honda city or
toyota vios as the price are about the same.
Can I get some advise from anyone here?

Just a suggestion, I think the new Persona with IAFM should be much more
appealing. But if you can spend extra RM10,000.00, Waja Campro CPS should
be taken into consideration.

rain, a new car will always be a new car and a secondhand car will always
be a secondhand car. Unless you know the owner, always better to get a
second hand car.

thanks for all the advise. however, is it worth to get a 2003, 55k second
honda city. since it has already 5 years old, will it have any problem?
which car will give me less problem? 5 years old second hand honda city or
new persona? and new persona is costing about RM54000

Logically it is not worth to get a 5 years old 2nd hand car when you have
option to get a new car with the same cost.

Let say;

FC is RM0.14/km for the 2nd hand City and RM0.17/km for the new Persona
without IAFM (base on my experience);

Average yearly travelling distance is equally 40000km

The economic life for both cars is 7 years.

- the FC different over the 7 years is only RM8,400.00.

If you think this amount is so material that make you want to take risk
of purchasing a 5 years old 2nd hand car that might require a high
maintenance cost, just do it.

well if the 2003 city is in good conditon why not...2nd if u really like
the car and have passion for the car no matter how much money u going
to "burn" to the car it will have no prob...base on my personal experince,
buying a 5 year old honda should be no prob lah.if u plan to used the
honda for at least anathor 5 year dont expect the car will depreciate only
5K!hahhaha, atleast in the 5 year time atleast the car will be 30++ but a
persona when u buy today....5 years i think half price suda kena
potong....so whice one u rather buy?futurmore, i dont think proton solve
the quality problem...they really dont "dare to change" one.heheh

Feel free to BELIEVE and THINK. Just feel and think...unjustifiable.
