How does this car compare with the new upcoming honda crv?
If not mistaken, the crv is more spacious and cx5 seems to be the smaller.

CRV would be a 2010 model whereas CX5 is a 2013 model. CRV 2.4, CX5 2.0. Anyway, CRV will still have their market, the old school one and also the die hard T & H fans. As for me I'm loving my Zoom Zoom.....

The above figures show CX-5 has better NVH than the 3 SUVs only. Full stop. However your direct comparison will be between your current ride and CX-5 or your shortlisted car and CX-5. For example, if you are driving a sedan now, the chances are your car NVH may be better. Similarly if you have shortlisted a sedan car (Mondeo, 508, Camry, etc), the chances are the sedan may be better. I strongly recommend you to test drive the CX-5 and make direct comparison to your current ride and to the shortlisted cars. Personally I tolerate the wind noise during cruising but the engine noise is far too audible.

For a 5-seat SUV, CX-5 is very spacious already. Have you really tried it out thoroughly? How much spacious more you want to get? Any additional in space may translated into bigger exterior size which may compromise the maneuverability of the vehicle.

I have tried the CX5 but the latest model of CRV is yet to be launch here.
