gotta be realistic. no way an older car can still perform and give you FC
like on its first year. Worn Parts, carbon build ups, driving habit,
inefficient fuel and air combustion etc...all these add up.

So even if you changed all the necessary parts without overhauling, your
pistons, valves, valve seals, conrods etc...are also no more in pristine
condition like in its 1st year.

You can try your best to improve it, but there's a limit.

the FC can be affected within such a short period? if u said those car
more than 5 , 7 years, FC getting worse, then i may understand ....

3 years ago, are your working in the same place? Do you travel the same
route with the same traffic condition? If you have changed job and travel
to a different route and traffic condition is bad, then you got the answer
d.

I am driving a kancil 850ex manual 1999 until now, fuel consumption around
14-15km/ltr. This is driving soft and hard. No problems.
Perhaps you could check for any leak in the fuel system. it may not be
serious but try to smell whether there is any fuel smell in the engine bay
and fuel inlet bay. could be due to leakage at the fuel pump diaframg or
others. Also check your idle rpm with air cond on and off, check whether
it is still within the spec as per manual.

Hi... I'm driving Kancil 850 EZ Auto 2001 & it gives me almost 13-15
km/liter which I think is reasonable with an auto car. I get the max when
driving with optimum speed without much acceleration where as the min is
fast driving... acceleration & city.

Hi ManU

i think it is normal...

must consider
i) Fuel price
ii) tyre wear n tear
iii) traffic condition
iv) driving behavior
v) etc

never change the gasket n fuel filter is not the reason why your kancil
get high FC. but fuel filter need to be change after 60K km. check with
your manual or SC.

from my experience castrol 10w-30 will give you better fc than shell 10w-
30.
