Anyway, what DC18 shared earlier is very good so I thought of posting it again here:

Minus the 6 speed manual and replace it with DSG, I think we should be getting something very similar

Is leather seat in for the local unit? and also climate control?

No idea .... some say fabric, some say leather. I'm just guessing that it should have climate control similar to the Golf but the dashboard design in the link you shared seem to show a different design compared to the Golf so it's anyone's guess.
P.S: The cup holders in the center looks rather plain

Yup thats is a US TDI version.
Color and the rims are similar to the Das Auto Show unit.
For the price, I do expect climate control and bonus if come with leather.

Ironically, the past 3 cars I drove has climate control but I never use them. Dual zone however is useful

Mine current car have it as well. I usually use manual too. Dual Zone seldom adjust diff temp so unable to see the effect.
Actually manually aircond dial also good, less faulty stuff.

Anyway, sunroof or not, it doesn't matter to me. Things like competitive pricing to whack the Jap/Korean rivals will see if they can capture the market. And that's an important factor to me.
I'm having a 'boring' car right now... Skoda Octavia which is very old fashioned to many. However, I was attracted to their built quality and the ride is really good. Once I ditched my old car and got my Skoda, I never wanted to consider anything that's not conti.
So, hopefully the principal can price it in the RM120-130k region. Top it up with 5 years unlimited warranty, low interest rates and some goodies and I think Jetta will make a good impact in the local scene.
Who knows..... Keep our fingers X!

tot you already booked jetta? booked without viweing is it?
the jetta unit i saw at VW showroom had rear aircond vents located at the center armrest console.
It was the jetta sports unit, not sure if the one u r buying is this spec or not. it had fabric seats if i remember correctly.
