See it up-close
The Kia Sportage is a compact crossover SUV built by the Korean automaker Kia Motors since 1993.
First generation (1993 - 2002)
Second generation (2004 - 2010)
Third generation (2010 - present)
A replacement Sportage third generation is due in early 2010 in European markets. It will use a Hyundai R engine. In China, it will be released by Dongfeng-Yueda-Kia in October 2010, and be built and marketed alongside rather than as replacement of the existing model.

and kia sister company hdai tucson just launch for some month, no point to whack each other so soon.. let those who gonna get tucson get tucson.. maybe early next year i think.
But i think the vacuum is very much on the sorento segment, where fortuner is the king now, and Santa FE is out going, and mitsshubishi is tying hard to enter. So, it's time for sorento to stirred the market a bit, rather than sportage to come in.
And it is very good for the korean to intro a new model a month which amaze malaysian buyers and to change their mind set.
Started with Forte, then Tucson, then Sonata, then Sorento, then Tucson then K5, so it should be strategic for them to move in with non stop but correct pace.
Today a friend in uncle age told me he he bought a sonata.. use to be a camry buyers.. the effect starts to kick in.
