This is a sterling example of a well-maintained Alfa GTV 1750.

Instead of being a fully restored showcar stuck in a basement and serving more as an armchair showpiece, this 1970 classic epitomises the love and care that's been lavished to make this daily-driven beauty a REAL CAR....with all the signs of graceful aging.

The bodywork was brought down to bare metal for a proper respraying job (not restoration job).

After spraying epoxy primer, performing all knocking and filling, followed by a primering, a custom-mixed red basecoat was applied, followed by clearcoat. Dupont High-Solids paint system. Next, it was mildly wet-sanded and compounded.

After more than a month, the paintwork was compounded again, followed by extensive polishing and multiple rounds of synthetic sealant.

Mechanic lovingly attended to the twin carburettors, and was very careful not to inflict any scratches.

The tired-looking engine bay was slowly cleaned-up, with all brightwork polished.

The interior is typical old-school style, especially with simple retro-style stitching on the door panels.

On such an old material where its full history was never known in detail, there's every possibility of dye being removed from the material during cleaning if that material has been subjected to previous "touch-up spraying".

After gentle cleaning with Einszett products......and dressed with Colourlock products.

At last, a classic interior that's been professionally-cleaned (not restored).

While its not a showcar, that lively dripping-wet red paintwork really made the GTV stand out.

All photos taken with just an Iphone.

Im sure you could probably see the time on my watch.

After spending so many loving years with this baby, the owner has decided to sell her.
Yes, this lovely Alfa GVT 1750 above is now for sale teu30.gif

Hey, my friend is one previous owner. How can I forget the registration number. This car was originally white in colour. I have been in it so many times.

Very nicely restored. smile.gif
