Please advice the shop's name.
I am driving 308 T and my aircond has a similar problem.
no cooling, only the blower works... blowing hot air.
sent for checkup in Glenmarie and they said there are no leaks
but found some blocking in the air flow. Service advisors suggests to change the cooling coil.
which costs RM5k if change in Peugeot Srvc Ctr.
Hahaha, aircond problem again : it could be (could!!) a simple issue like :
a) the shim (at the compressor) between the pulley & body is too thick therefore the gap is big. Change to a thinner shim (its actually a washer) and you solve your problem
your magnet (looks like a cylinder, inside the compressor) is too weak. Change the magnet. May cost about RM200 depending on the size
c) hose leaks too minute ? change entire hose ? this is likely ..if... its warm all the time, not sometimes-cold-sometimes-warm
My car (Volvo S60 2003 2.0T) had this issue : sometimes cold sometimes warm - I did both a & b above at a cost of RM230 (150 for magnet, 80 for workmanship & refill of cfc-free gas - shim was free, taken from a box full of shims) of course this was around 2009/2010. Prices may have changed. I did it in North Port Business Centre (Port Klang). My aircond system was from diesel kiki, japan. If i had done it in fedauto/swedish marque - the compressor would have cost me no less than 2.5k, labour & gas separately charged.
So, dont get conned by the "authorised service centre" - no car manufacturers would make EVERY parts, they oem-it iout or buy the system from others .e.g brakes, suspension, a/cond, lightings, sensors etc. So 14k for a 308 turbo is stupid - but thats what msia is to cronies businesess - a cash cow.
Open the bloody damn automobile market in msia - then the citizens will get fair & true market prices
