Andy,

You could be right. I remember seeing the invoice for coolant written as quantity-2. So it could be they just pour in 2 bottles of 1L coolant.
Even though I have specifically told them to "flush" out the old coolant.
Looks like got to do this again, may be in the next official service interval of changing of coolant, I think should be around 30K or 40K.

some general sharing on the coolant flush:
did mine yesterday at volcare, mileage = 20K km.
labor charge was RM36.
its a rather long process (1 hour) as they will drain out the coolant and bleed the system with about 4 liters of water. After this they bleed the system with the coolant till it reaches the required level.
bought the coolant from asli auto for rm75/5 liter bottle.
Former Rides:
Ford Telstar TX5, Proton Waja

Current Ride:
Peugeot 308

May i know when the checklist should be used?
When the car arrives, we need to check and then make balance downpayment.
Then it takes 7 working days to process all the documents.

Then we collect the car.

So, are we suppose to check the whole list at both occasions?

Pls advice

Thanks

u shd let your SA know abt the chklist, give them a copy, when u make your final payment & tell the SA under no uncertain term that you will NOT signoff to take possession of the car if the chklist is NOT completed. this will give your SA some time to go through the chklist while getting the car ready, but i doubt your SA will do that. on the day where u r going to take possession of your car, go through the chklist with your SA and your car & if u r not satisfied, u can tell your SA to brush up & come back later the following day to continue the chklist, but i doubt the owner will do that too. owner will just take the car & let the SA eat the smoke, hehehe..

Very true. When you see your car, you just want to drive it home. Don't really want to give a shit or two about the car. You might ask the SA a few questions when the checklist is not fulfilled but chances are you wont be arguing much about the answers given.

You just want to drive it home!

I've read the forum and summarized the checklist as follow >>

Checklist for picking up new Peugeot 308

For some reason i cannot upload an Excel file here. so the above links directed to Putra Mahkota Community forum.

After completion of handover, you might want to share the report to us (if possible) but again this forum forbid uploading Excel attachment.

btw, pls comment the checklist and add items i missed out.

hope it will help for me and you. Planned to pick up my THP end of next week.

This is good stuff thanks for sharing smile_thumbup.gif
