Deall all,

Your input is required to compare the satria 1.3 with the kancil 0.850...
Lets choose the following criteria for comparison:
1. FC
2. Price
3. Power
4. Looks

As far as i know, for FC kancil is better, how much better, i don't know
satria 1996 is around 10-11K, Kancil 1997 is around 7-8K
staria is more powerful, however the kancil 0.850 is not that bad
staria looks better however, its still a 2/3 doors car.

you compare a 1.3 car with 850 car?? Better you compare a 2.0 car with a
1.5!

If you wanna compare a 1.3 car...compare it with another 1.3 car. Like
that only fair. How can you compare a much bigger cc car with a smaller
one?

dear all,

kancil 850 can still be compared with staria 1.3
the difference in cc is not that big, we are not comparing a 2.0 with a 1.
0....
the second second is that both kancil and satria are under the category
small cars, if you know what i mean
however satria is wider and is more confortable.
i have driven both cars, and satria is way a better.
i just wanted some inputs from those who own satria.
for the FC of satria 1.3, i still didn't get a reply, anyone knows?
do ask me to go to another forum, i have already checked the other forum
but the FC posted is not realistic...
Those of you who claim thats buying a french car or a foreign car in
malaysia is better, think twice.
Price wise any rebnault/peugeot/citroen 1996 is less than 8K
But maintenance is very high, i know this for a fact.
as yourself a question, why the price of a tiara 96 is around 3k now? don't
fool yourself.

Using my Iswara 1.5A (which consumes 20 sen/km) as a base for estimation,
I would venture a guess that a Satria 1.3 would return a figure between
15-17 sen/km.

If you are willing to consider a Satria 1.5M (very limited in numbers) or
1.6, I reckon you will get even better figures, not to mention a higher
level of trim and equipment.

I can't speculate for a Kancil 850 though.

thanks gunner

what i have been told for a satria is that FC is 12.5km/L, which is more or
less what you have said.
buying a new car now is NOT GOOD, as its price will drop dramatically in
the next few years.
E.g. buy a saga 2007 for 27K, whats its value in 3 yrs, i guess 14K
buy a satria 10K, whats its value in 3yrs, i guess 6K

how much you lose when you buy a new car after 3yrs period, well, at least
13K gone!
but a second hand car much less than that, 4-5K lost.
Even if you throw away the car, you won't lose more than 10K....

You get what i mean.
One of the forumers said: "SAY NO TO NEW CARS"

I totally agree with him

By the way, in france, i 3yrs old car, its original price drops to the
thrid.
I.e. if the new car costs 6000 euros, after 3 years, its price is 2000euros
thats less than RM 10000 my friends.

I'm using satria 1.3 2001 november (Injection). I get 13.5cent per km, and
the best i did was the 12.5. I think this is because i weigh about 100kgs
and that would explain the extra cents in fuel. hahaha

Item 1 to 4, most significant is 3 since power to weight ratio.
