Hi guys,

Anyone did any heart transpart for Kembara? I will be taking over my dad
kembara and doubt will be selling it in the future.

Is there any 1.5 or 1.6 engine that can fit kembara?

Please advice.

Thanks
Daniel

Hi there!

Like monster said, the engine code is almost an all-time favourite dream
engine for P2 owners.

Ur Kembara what tranny?

Take time to check it out!

I was reading kembara.net.

Seem that no one have actually manage to get hand on the K3-vet engine.

Most common is the 4-2-1 extractor.

My kembara is the first version manual.

The last round I drove it to Genting was dragging 2nd gear nearly all the
way......

so thinking of boasting power.

1. try to put bolt on trubo
- someone had try but costy

2. try to put 1.5 or 1.6 engine or just block in and adjust ECU

- I think HD-C (SOHC 1.5 EFI will fit the case)

It is from indon Daihatsu Taruna F (7 seat version of Kembara) and fit
its RWD gear box. I am sure that is ok for you for more a little power.
but less 4WD

I might consider buying an used 1st or 2nd generation Kembara (non-DVVT).
Is it possible to buy new Kembara DVVT engine to swap the old non-DVVT
engine? Where to get actually? How much would be the cost? Or is it
better to source for Terios's engine? Cost? Thanks.

but i never seen new gen terios engine in JB half cut shop,

But I seen Terios Kid (660cc) version half cut in JB before.

That will be very hard to source and costly.

I asked before , about 7K-10K for half cut (Non-DVVT), and this is about
1-2 years ago!! As it is by case order!!

My mon got kembara EZ Non-DVVT and i always want to change it to K3-VET
but never found!! (and too expensive to do)
