What is the different between car battery grade from NS40, NS60 and NS
70. I just realise all this time i have been using NS60 instead of NS70.
The manual state that NS60 only suitable for satria 1.3 and 1.6. SGTI
should use NS70. Will using the wrong grade battery caused any side
effect or damage to the car? Should i change it? Had been using it for
around 19 months liao. Your reply will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

All sizes can be used. The only difference is the output power.
Battery size, N40 is same size as NS60, except N40 has 9 plates and NS60
has 11 plates and power output, (if not mistaken) N40 is 40ah, NS60 is 55ah.
NS60 is direct upgrade for N40 as battery clamp on the car need not be changed.
NS70 on the other hand, is bigger in size. For upgrade, you will need to
change battery clamp. Power output should be 65ah.

Forgot to mention, if you have a lot of electrical gadget fixed to your
car, like heavy ICE equipment etc. upgrade to NS70.
If normal, NS60 should be good enough.

designed to optimally work/handle the load required to start the engine
and provide extra power for the ignition, lighting and other accessories
when their combined load exceeds the capability of the charging system,
i.e. when the engine is idling.
Do not go more `powerful` unless you have extra, power-hungry equipment
in your car.

Alternator charging should not be a problem.
Kancil & Kelisa size maybe not, but I do not think that size battery can go
into their engine compartment anyway.

The problem is at certain time when i have everything on such as aircond,
lights, ice and etc, I can feel the power steering and brake less
responsive and light also will dim especially low speed crawling or
idling. Even the aircond also keep on charging as well. I already install
vs and grounding. Is this due to insufficient power from the battery
since i have mistakenly downgrade the battery size?

If you have downgraded yr battery, no harm changing back to original.
Anyway, why not change to the bigger one straight away.
gunner,
Starting the car with accessories on is all right, but why the lights?
Anyway, for your info, the moment you turn the key to start your car, all
current to accessories etc.(including the lights) is cut off and all power
goes to the starter.
Once your car have started, and the key is back at original position, all
accessories starts to work again.
The next time you start your car, please observe all the accessories.

Thanks for your reply. The reason i ask is want to see whether the
problem i m having is due to incorrect battery size installed. If so,
then changing one is top priority. Else if not, will just wait until it
kong only change. Since NS 70 battery is not cheap though.
