Normally, for most standard absorber with standard springs, there is no need to adjust camber. tolerance between 0° 20' is acceptable. This is where con job comes into play. they will ask you to buy camber bolts (plus overpriced labor cost for adjustment).

Only for lowered suspension (springs or adjustable), camber may need to be adjusted.

Other then that unless you whack plenty of deep potholes..... smile_big.gif

Balancing normally same price, but may differ for steel rims and alloy rims because use different weights. Stick on more expensive.
As for alignment, more to the car whether easy to adjust or not, but basically most car about the same.
And yes, certain older alignment machine capable of up to 17" only...

Looking for new Tyre for Persona to replace the original Continental 195/60/15, i notice there is not many options for 60, other than Continental & YK C-Drive rest seems very expensive.

1.Any recommendations? Am thinking of MC PS3, but is there a better deal? Hear latest PS3 got QC problem?

2.I don't clock high mileage but want better quality rubber than can last for many many years before harden & also decent handling in both dry & wet while not giving up too much noise & comfort.

3.I'm around Old Klang Road so far i see 1 Michelin shop there road side & another at Sri Petaling, how is their Price & Service & what package they offer? Is there a difference buying 2 & 4? Compare go all the way to klang is it much much cheaper & klang includes installation, B & A?

4.If go from factory 60 to 55, any easy way to recalibrate the speedometer? how much do shop charge?

5.Usually how old is consider acceptable the tyre stock & how old is too old buying new?

6.I know B is balancing A is alignment but what is V?

BTW i dun wan shop that wanna con me buy cambers, sked i refuse buy they bohsong sabotage the car.

60 series aspect ratio tyres are made more towards comfort. Performance category mostly starts from 55 series. Having said that you do not have PS3 in that size as they come in at 55 series. The Conti CC5 that you have are entry level and Yoko C-Drive 2 is mid category.

Most tyres in our Malaysian weather I would give them to about 4 years, then they will start to harden and have fine crack lines. Some may not show the crack lines but the rubber will harden. This also means the traction capability will deteriorate.

Even though you can go for 55 series the overall diameter will be smaller, so may look like a big car on small wheels, more over going down to 55 series the load range also drops.

Since you are low user and will use the tyres for a long time, get tyres that are vas new as possible, like within 6 months to 1 year max. For fast user 1 to 2 years is okay.
Whether you purchase 2 or 4 tyres price you negotiate loh!. But of course you buy 4 better chance to squeeze for lower price or ask to get free valves and alignment. Always remember mounting and balancing is always free one and comes with tyre price so if tyre shop say they charge just go to another shop.

V is for the tyre valve.

To sum up, for you I think best is to keep to 60 series, get the Yoko C-Drive 2 and if you want something cheaper try the Achilles ATR Sports (Indonesian made). Some friends using say they are pretty good and value for money. Only thing being directional may be a bit noisy but is cheap. 195/60R15 is like RM160 to 170. I think he got them from Kean Lee Hin in Jalan Ipoh

Question on the Valve, when you buy new tyres do they use back your old valve or have to buy new valves or depends what tyre you change?

Do you know which Tyre has better quality rubber than can last longer?

Is it ok to use 55 on front & 60 on rear? Do we have to use the same brand & model for front & back or can Front PS3 then back something else?

Speedometer measure rotation of front or rear wheels?

Also are PS3 directional & asymmetrical? Can it be swapped to any wheels or just left front to left back?

Is there any PS3 equivalents for 55 or 60 from Bridgestone? And how are Bridgestone's rubber generally speaking? Am thinking PS3 but since people talking about bad batch now i might change the front set 1st to other brand.
