If not smart tag friendly, then like old style V kool. Have to leave an area for smart tag to transmit...... smile_blackeye.gif

What they do if you insist on using smarttag is leaving the top 8' area and tint it with darker but lower quality tint and you can let your smarttag transmit from there.

Sometimes they hide one patch behind the rear view mirror for this..........

I think it look more like workmanship problem. Tint film should be clear...... smile_thumbup.gif

V-Kool with such a quality ??? No, I think is the workmanship !
Mine Sentra was done by Riken, not famous around but very good finishing.
Till now almost 5years + still fit ! Cost me 360+

In JB, I know Xpress Cool is highly recomended. I saw their workmanship, well done.
Changed my friends film which is almost warranty expire without a word.

My recent good experience with Xpress Cool.

Just got my new toyota, as the sale agent gave me a voucher for free security film by Xpress Cool, so i went there to redeem my film.

First impression of the shop- very professional. Fully air-con with clean interior to minimise dust entry, and they only do tinting, unlike most of the accessory shop where tinting is part of the many services. No loud music blaring, smoking and shouting when working, very serious workers.

Workmanship- Should be quite ok, i did not inspect the film closely. One impressive act during the film installation: after the front wind screen film was installed, I saw the crew inspecting the film and having a frown on his forehead. And i tot to myself, is there any problem?

When i turn around again after some time, I saw him cutting a new piece of film for the front screen again. I asked him how come the front screen need two films? his repy: Nope, i redoing the film, the previous one not done nicely.

Me: smile_thumbup.gif He has very high standard of his workmanship.

After the screens are all done, they paste a properly printed sticker on the window power switch to remind you not to operate the windows for the next 24hrs.

Cost: RM788 - 200 (original cost of the free security film)- discount= RM530 for a 4millmm security film JPJ passable grey.

I have zero idea on the heat performance of the film as I only went to them bcos of the free voucher, but I was overall impressed by their setup and workmanship. For those interested, kindly check their website for address and research on your own for their heat performance compared to other film. smile.gif

If you are a smart shopper, you'll get onto Groupon or one of those websites and get yourself a tinting for a couple of hundred ringgit.

Try power cool and pyramid film, it is an old brand but not many people know about it.
