erzer111,

Go learn how to count and read the original post, again.

It may be "minor" but it's a few problems occuring at the same time. It's
time-consuming, irritating, and frustrating. Not to mention the time,
effort, and money spent trying to get them fixed. And, usually, a car
that starts out like this is gonna stay like this, ie. constantly 'sick'.

If you're 'lucky' enough, u might get firsthand experience, one day! Keep
your fingers crossed, ya'?

"lucky u don't own a Ferrari, u probably call that a durian!!"
Are u on some kind of medication?

Yeah rapwong. That`s the least they could do if they are not going to
take this seriously. Do it quietly to minimise the embarassment if they
want to, I dont mind.

I also understand, perhaps this the first time round they do local
assembly and there bound to be some teething problems. But are they
prepared to offer some of sort incentives to the "pioneering" customers
who are willing to buy their "pioneering" local assembly? Some "first
time local assembly" discount, perhaps? I doubt that. They still charge
the customers as if their local assembly is already matured.

In Alex`s, they should have accepted, dont give excuse too much but
apologise profusely to Alex. Dont wait for Alex to demand but give Alex a
replacement car until his new Sorento "minor" problems are fully
rectified. That is the least they could do if they practice genuine
customer care, the so-called "the car that cares". In my case (even
though I didn`t push it very hard), I wasn`t given a replacement despite
of asking them few times when my ex-Sorento was in Setapak for more than
one month.

Another forumer was also complaining about loose grill/came off from his
brand new Sorento. But yeah! this is very minor isn`t it? Well to me, to
pay more than RM100K and to get that kind of crap surely justify
his "outburst".

If we chose to be subjected to this kind of "craps" and carry on with
our "tidak apa" attitude, then, we have our ownselves to be blamed.

I am flabergasted to read someone made a comment that the problems are
minor and can be fixed easily. The BIG issue is not that these problems
are minor and can be fixed easily. If you missed the BIGGER issue, think
again.

I would expect the incoming 206 would face similar quality problems even
though the model is a well proven car worldwide. So, think again and
again before making any decision to buy a car under certain badge.

Cheers !!

1. Speedometer is not working!
2. Tripmeter is not working!
3. Fuel gauge is inconsistently moving and unable to indicate the actual
fuel level in my car!
4. When pressing "Open", the sunroof unable to slide all the way as
specified in the manual!
5. The "Tilt up" and "Tilt down" button for sunroof, assembly wrongly.
When presseed "Tilt down" the sunroof tilt up.
6. Then what happened to "Tilt up" Button? Is not working at all!!! No
matter how you press!!!
-----------------------------------------
Minor issue? I really-really-really don't think so!
This already 6 defects/car.(Not counting the underlying defects
affected/due to this)
What the total cost to repair all these? (If the car are not under
warranty)

Someone need to be sacked!!!!

May be the people at the assembly plant don't are illiterate, tilt up or
down makes no difference ma.

To our Einstein, nothing is big issue, just minor.. can be fixed easily.
Somehow, this line of reasoning sounds familiar. Can find lots of them in
the other plotong forums.

Looks like its those Kia that are Mazda designed that's OK. The new
models that gets its origin from Hyundai are stil way behind those Jap
designed ones

well FreshOil, your oil doesn't seem so fresh, maybe u eat too much durian!
The picture I get is of a lot of dogs barking up the wrong trees from this
forum. (For those of u insulted by the dog analogy, I apologise, it's not
meant to) Why all the barking up the wrong tree? Actually it's the DEALER
who is responsible for the PDI. Did u know that? QA is a system of checking
along an assembly line, and the dealer is the last point of contact. That's
the system, and if your new car has the speedo cable disconnected because
the dealer don't want to reveal that he's been using your car as a
demonstrator, it's his fault, not Kia's! If the sunroof wiring back to
front, his fault, he should have checked before giving it to you. When u
buy your new car, u sign a piece of paper which normally reads "received in
good condition"....do you ever check your car before signing??? etc.. etc..
so you see Einstein you as a consumer are part of the problem also.
So who is the dealer?
